Just started my new metaverse game, large map with uncommon settings for everything. My homeworld has one square with 'precursor mine' +700% manufacturing output Also has a +300% and +100% farming output squares. Pity it's only quality 10 What's the best planet special people have seen?
Very odd... my computer has a 2100+ XP processor, but about 700MB of RAM and a 256MB video card. I've never had any problems :/ Any other settings in the display settings? Maybe anisotropic filtering :S I've turned them on sometimes to make things look pretty, but then everything runs pretty appalingly (double p? double l? Argh, curse my spelling). I just finished that mission last night. I think I stuffed up at the start by sending my colony ship out to the solar system in the middle, then having the Altarians colonise the second planet in my home system AND the second planet in the other system . . but nevermind (well, then they built thousands of ships and kept the Drengin very, very busy) I think I needed to build more research facilities, as for much of the game I simply left my fleets in orbit around the Drengin worlds wh
My computer crashes sometimes with GalCiv2 . . . but then it also crashes with just about every other game I have as well Hopefully it will be winter soon and then my CPU/Graphics Card/etc etc etc etc will stop overheating . . . I'm having a lot of fun with the game so far Autosaving every turn do
I've had it happen to me once, but for about 10 turns. I disbanded the fleet and had to move all the ships before recreating it. If I remade it on the same turn the problem reccured.
I must agree with DeviousToast (love the name btw ) That's kinda what MOO3 was trying to do, I think, except they forget to make point defense work So missiles just wiped out your whole fleet again and again . . . (or fighters) . . and all those lovely beam weapons just went to waste. Gal

My computer's had heating problems ever since I gutted it and replaced the old 350MHz Pentium II with my current AMD 2100+. Works best in the depths of winter, less well in summer - multiple crashes, generally being irritating. Only some games seem to cause problems though - and GalCiv II seems to fall into that category (nothing autosave every turn won't fix I found the best way is reduce the
