Since this is a Sci-Fi based game, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions regarding good Sci-Fi novels to read. I've managed to get addicted to Peter F. Hamilton's "Night's Dawn" trilogy and the Commonwealth Saga. I keep trying to figure out how to make the various races in GalCiv2 but I haven't made it that far yet. Wormholes between worlds would be awesome though <

Maybe you don't actually kill all of the people on the planet ..... they just don't appear on the census list until they're happier with you ..... which would explain why 100,000,000 people can turn into one billion people in a matter of weeks. Just a thought

The only bad thing I have to say about eToyChest is that they gave 94/100 for KOTOR II. While KOTOR was definitely in the realms of 90-100%, KOTOR II doesn't deserve a rating above 80. Why? Because they didn't finish the damn thing..... (HK-47 was awesome though . . if only they'd added the rest of his plotline and dialogue) My respect for the reviewers on that site just went down a notch....

My favourite event is getting a 'Lucky Ranger', which seems to happen all to often. Two dreadnoughts vs. Arcean escorts = two dreadnoughts.

I noticed the same thing, playing on normal (large galaxy) with common numbers of planets but uncommon habitable ones (?more realistic? anyway ). Found the Torians at the end of the game, stuck on their two original planets. I think the Altarians took the only other close planet to them. It was kind of amusing, descending on their pitiful little fleet with a squad of battleships <img src="http://i

I've played two games, on on easy and one on normal - I won the easy game, lost the normal game but my rank was in the four hundreds last time I checked. Maybe I missed a digit . . .

I'd really like to have the collectors edition. On some of the really great ship designs there are some awesome looking engines, but I can't find them anyway in my list. So I'll have to settle for my current designs But the game is great . . . . has made me late for work on numerous occasions now . . .

I like the fact that I will be able to keep playing this game far into the future, without having to worry where I left the damned CD. . . I've had a lot of games which I can't play any more because their CDs have gone wandering in the number of moves I've had. If we were all communist there'd be no need to worry about copy protection. Maybe we should do that

I just like how when you settle a gas giant, the "Class #" refers to it's moon, and then you get to build on it's moon. Could never settle the moons in MOO3 Don't really mind which way the moon goes, but I suppose it would be nice to have it going the right way.

I agree that the design options need to be streamlined a bit more. When I'm creating ship jewelery, there is a list of about 50-60 (or more) different objects I can put on, and it can be a bit tiresome trying to look through for them all. Maybe break it up into 'engines' (for those pieces of jewelery that look like engines), 'wings', 'antenna', 'lights', etc. It would make finding the specific piece you're after much easier. It would also be useful when there are hundreds of player created o

I'm just remembering how MOO3 had 'turns' and 'galactic cycles' (or something like) which were different periods of time! I think a turn was equal to 1.5 GC . . . I didn't know why they bothered. I don't mind the weekly thing . . although my population must breed like rabbits
