Reply to Multiplicity vs Multiplicity PRO in Multiplicity Stardock Forums

Personally, I use Multiplicity Standard and I find that it suits my needs quite well. I didn't spend the extra money for Pro because I couldn't justify the extra $20 for file sharing and up to six computers support (because I didn't need to support six machines). I wouldn't mind the extra functionality of file sharing without six PC support (sure beats shares and permissions which is how I currently do it) and would have gladly paid an extra $10 for Multiplicity with this functionality.

While I don't have a laptop hooked up to a docking station, I would suggest using only the Windows wireless software (get rid of any third party or bloat-ware wireless junk) and see if that fixes the issue. When it comes to using Multiplicity before login, it does that the service a minute or two (quite possibly up to 10, depending on the machine) to initiate. Also, check to see what credentials the service has (Control Panel > Administrative tools > Services > [double click] Stard

I can ping PC to PC via IP, both PC's should be in the same workgroup (I'll check) and I'll Telnet my laptop when I get a chance. One thing I have noticed is that at LAN parties, we're all on the same workgroup; buut... my machine (Desktop: AMD Athlon, Windows XP Professional SP2) am still unable to 'see' anyone else's machine and they are unable to see mine. Would this be sufficient to screw around with Multiplicity? Any one know how to fix that issue? Thanks a tonne

This has me completely stumped, I've been trying to resolve this for ages. Multiplicity absolutely refuses to locate my Toshiba Satellite M70. I have all firewalls turned off, and toggling both Incoming connections restrictions fails to do anything. My desktop runs Windows XP Professional SP2 wired into a D-Link DI-524 and my Toshiba Satellite M70 via wireless. Both have Multiplicity installed. The D-Link is wired via it's WAN port into a Netcomm NB1300Plus4 which provides the

Just some webspace and some audio recording software should do. All Poweruser does is make an MP3 and post it on the web. Audacity is a free audio editor, and is easy to use. www.audacity.sourceforge.net You might need the LAME MP3 encoder for it. Google it!
