Just because it won't be added to it doesn't mean I wouldn't pay for it if it were. I'd prefer to let my gaming desires known, even if they conflict with the dev's.

$30 for Multiplayer. $75 for Tactical Combat. Damnit, give me tactical combat! To everyone who's opposed to it, just turn it off. Make it an option like in MoO 2.
Correct my math if it's wrong, but that's 1,000 * $25 (low estimate), so $25,000! Just for adding in MP, and this is just a SAMPLE of the full amount of people who'd purchase it, as obviously not everyone who would buy it voted, by a long shot I'd wager. Say it takes 3 months to code in MP... scaled to a year, that's $100,000 a year. That should cover the person's salary, and again, these are all low numbers. It could very well be 1/5th of the actual size, so now you're looking at
Thanks! That's the answer I was looking for. If it's true (which it sure sounds like), it makes perfect sense then. I figured this kinda of situation to be an inherent fault of Windows (it's really dated these days, compared to Mac OS X it's like light years behind), but I had hope with all the talk on how great Windows Blinds interacts and makes the OS faster in some ways, that they'd be able to carry over the coding techniques to get Object Dock to work in a way that doesn't cause
32 hours... maybe premature, but I was hoping for some sort of response from a dev, forums are usually so instantaneous! Shouldn't be too rare that someone would have GalCiv2 and this program (it's free after all), and could attempt running GalCiv2 windowed to confirm/deny the above problem on another machine.
Just to clarify: 1) This is ONLY regarding running games in a windowed mode, unfortanutely using fullscreen is not a solution I will accept. 2) This is with a plain, vanilla, fresh, install of Object Dock. No added/custom docklets. Just the default set.
Hi, If it wasn't for one big problem (for me anyway) with this program I would definetly buy it. This was true of the last version I tried and the new version just released. Whenever I have Object Dock loaded, and run any 3D based game windowed (maybe even any game, haven't extensively tested), the game crawls to a stutter. Even with your own Gal Civ 2! So it shouldn't be too hard to narrow down the problem
I haven't had enough experience to know for sure, but I have seen people saying there is no thought put into each Race's starting placement when beginning a game. Do you find this to be the case? I would hate to play on a Large or Huge galaxy only to find I wasted my time and got no challenge because I was placed in a position by luck that significantly gave me an advantadge. If this is true, and even if it isn't, would it be sma
I believe this could be one of the best 4X games ever made, but from what I'm reading there's some big problems standing in the way. I was just hoping that someone could read this list of problems with the game and let me know what is fixed or planned to be fixed or is just misinformation! Thanks! - Wonky money behaviour, especially with taxation. In one game I was somehow in the hole -2 gagillion credits (something like 20 digits long).<b
I think these developers really get it, they understand how to make games fun, and then they go beyond what's expected and continue to make them better. I am pleasantly surprised by this news and the motivation/dedication of the developers. Thanks!
I just was testing population growth on the first level of the campaign, seeing how my starting planet had 100% approval. Each turn gave a growth of .20 Mil, which according to the PDF manual, from page 31, seems to be incorrect. "Population growth occurs at a fixed rate of 200,000 per turn, or .20 M on the population display. If your approval rating reaches 100%, your population growth is doubled. " Maybe I'm understan
I may be overlooking something obvious, but I wanted to know how to refresh my mind on the current level of the campaign's objectives/information... preferrably while in the actual level of the game. I've tried searching the PDF manual with no luck, all I can come up with as a solution for now is by starting the level over to bring up the screen. If there is no way to bring up the objectives/win conditions, perhaps it would be som
