re: alliance "victory" in my game the AI terrans are "Close" with everybody, but they dont "ally" in order to "win". my custom race is allied to 2 races (including the terrans), neutral to one, "close" to the other two. i purposefully try not to win by alliance. (actually i did, but then reloaded to see what would happen...) would this be evidence that the AI does not "try" to win by alliance? or is my method flawed? -0.

are any of these ideas "moddable"? could one take a planet tile and wrap a new texture around it and call it a "supernova'd" star? can one create "events" to place in the game--or is this hard-coded? -0.

there is a lot of space between what we want, what we have, and what we're gonna get. i think the devs will work dilligently within the budgetary constraints of their business plan. i'm sure the AI will improve incrementally in the next couple months; however, i don't feel the AI will ever truly be as "dynamic" a player as a human. there's no budget left for that--the most recent journal stated their roadmap for the next couple months and implied as much. so this is pretty

too bad it was "misposted". some people just cant roll with it, and so they say, "huh?". happens to me all the time. happened to Beckett. happened to Gaddis. happened to Joyce. don't be discouraged. write more. write often. or in Beckett's words, "fail. fail again. fail harder." eventually the women will come. or bois. depending on your preference... -0.

as for improving the UI--i am all for that. it is my understanding that that is happening. whether it meets anyone's expectations outside SD is another matter. clearly, they will hear about when it isn't. if it were up to me, and my sense of entitlement allowed it, i would want to spend the entire budget on AI development. not only will it improve the game--but Frogboy/Draginol/Brad Steve Ted Carrol and Alice's skills in AI development would improve as well. which, in the long run (

i'm sorry, i don't have the link. admittedly, i am too lazy to search for it. but i can assure you it was written about extensively. check threads around march or early april... try the search term "economy" in the search field--there are some interesting discussions that might be of context... -0.

it's easy to shut down a dialogue when one can appeal to misunderstanding in order to keep a power dynamic. recovering power by sacrificing grace doesn't contribute to a mutual understanding. disavowing agency of the effect one has when communicating or stating ideas is dishonest. or naive. i have to admit it is hilarious to read the hysterics and melodrama. precursors performance during his noble monologue where he says, "...if you want me to repent and admit m

check the threads from a few months back. i recall reading a fair bit of analysis explaining this phenomenon in an effort to split the sliders apart. the end result was that its not gonna happen as it would change the game too much. check it out, youll see. -0.

i think the major caveat to carriers is that it is presumably very difficult to program the AI to use them effectively. at least within the confines of budget and time. or else we would have had them in game, i'm sure. i haven't seen any text that mentions a dislike for carriers from the devs. -0.
