New Patch? in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I read a post the other day( cant find it now though) about a new patch and what it will do. Any more news on that and is there a due date?.....And where did i see that previous post ?

ok thnx guys, i agree, i ended up using the mass driver option and dropped more troops, and during the battle scene i notice the enemy was dropping like flys, even though i was out numbered 3 to 1, ofcourse the planet was a mess afterwards, but all is well the planet is under our control and producing CA's like mad. thanx for al the imput

Planet Bombardment in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I have some questions on planet bombardment with my fleets. I know i have to research the tech first, but are there any other limitations or requirements? Like is it limited to ship hull size, wpn type, number of ships? I have this planet i've been attacking and would like to soften up their defenses and 14,000 troops so my 3,500 troops can take the planet. I have 6 Frigates in orbit (med hull), but they only seem to attack the planet (when i target the planet with the FF fleets), whe

I like the idea of capture as well, and even if its not tactically applied , thats fine by me. Just being able to capture ships and bases is cool enough, and would be a great option in game play.

One last thing...i've noticed alot of players have expierinced many bugs and problems with the game so far...i personally have had no such problems...none what so ever....yet (knock on wood). The game runs perfect for me and my game play has not been hindered at all, and if there have been any bugs i have not noticed them and thats good enough for me. My only problem has been lagg as the game goes on into the later turns and that is probobly a personal computer issue on my PC, which i am stil

I am impressed, graphics are great and the game is fun to play. I've already played 5 complete maps from tiny to medium with up to 6 rival civs, and i plan on playing it alot more 8). I filed a question to stardock tech support 3 days ago about a small problem i was having in game play....i recieved a e mail confirmation that my question was recieved and given a ticket #, and a statement that it would be reviewed with in 2 days. My game becomes very laggy as more units appear...and the bigger the battles the worse it gets. What can i do to make the game run better....would like to get to the huge universe..( have been playing small vs 1 oppenet to cut down on the lagg). Any suggestions would be apprieciated. Yeah i live in portland oregon and had the same problem here, but i dont trust the store employees to know all they are supposed to know...so i went and looked around and found 1 copy of Gal Civ 2 at EB games at the Lloyd center mall that they said they didn't have on the phone when i called them...so i guess i got lucky....so if u call these stores to see if its in...try just going in and look around..they dont always update their computers inventory right away u know. <img src="http://images
