My 0.02$: It should be an option to download the mod, or not. Lets say, here is the option item: "Download game modifications from host? o Always o Only when it's signed by Stardock* o Ask o Never" * I understand that passing the whole responsibility of mod quality on Stardock's shoulders would be too extreme, so I propose that there could be some community based ranking system (CBRS) which would be connected to the Elemental system. In this
Full power to the mod developers and we will mod everything you could wish for :).
1 Introduction Hi! As it is now a unit is defined as collection of Attack, Defense, Movement, Training time, Upkeep. Upkeep is only calculated in gold. Every unit can be only 'composed' of Weapon, Armor & Special. In my opinion these elves the unit creation & diversity VERY low. That's why I would like to present to you the comprehensive overhaul (or evolution) of units proposal. P.S. My native language isn't English -
What about such 'resources' as races/species? For example - you rule some region where are elven settlements so you should be able to have units being 'made' of elves (who have different abilities)? Or this will be in independent kingdoms? One more thought about minerals: IMHO it should be done like this. Basic materials like iron and copper are available for all cities; however, if you control one of such resource's mine, you should be able to pump units from this city much, much
I've lost all researches after loading the game.
After the game is loaded the icon for the land on which the farm is built, is no longer present.
I can guess that it won't ONLY remove things for debugging but also parts of engine that are not used.
The best thing to do is to ask devs (frogboy) whether or not we should be able to mod something or not. I don't think that Stardock want's to keep many things hardcoded. I am quite sure Frogboy stated enough times that they make the game as moddable as possible, because they know it's the only way to keep the game alive and make customers happy, so that they can choose a mod that they like better than the original game. Oh, btw, didn't Frogboy said that they want to make Elem
Why the beta doesn't look like the intro in 8bit colors?! Nooooo, I want a REFUND! I didn't pay for it - I want an old school!
I have to say that while there is not much to do in the game and several vital elements of the game are still missing, the game looks promising and the cloth map is something that I can't describe with words - it seems like you are playing a pen&paper RPG :).
Warlords II (the memories) Master Of Magic (no kidding) Lords Of Magic (better than you think) Fantasy General (the scale, mister, the scale!) Age Of Wonders II
I am not familiar with PBEM, but from what you have written it's: Multi-player system Ability to play when you have time (no time restrictions) Ability to save the game and restore it whenever you like Combat is resolved automatically (no tactics) Please enlighten me: why isn't it better than a saved multi-player game? You can set some reasonably long time for player to make his turn (of make the turns parallel), play whenever you b
It looked like MoM 1.5 - ie. better (looking) than MoM, but far too poor to be a modern game ;).
I am not a hardcore-veteran-ultra-skilled MoM player, but I have to say there are quite a few similarities: Turn based Unit described as simple stats like: attack, defense, move, unkeep (and a couple of special stats) Fantasy setting 4X Develop magic Cast spells Control a wizard Choose among several factions/races Explore ruins, siphon shards, fight against monsters etc. Upgrade your citie
Bug: City's FLCM doesn't seem to work. Sometimes it shows/sometimes not; and you can't say the exact reason for it. Suggestion: ... fix it? :)
Problem: As it is now, when a unit reaches the place it were sent to, it just stops and the player isn't notified about this in any way. Potential solution: Add a notification that the unit reached it's destination, either by centering the screen on the unit, or by writing the notification in the daily report.
Frogboy, you stated that before the actual implementation of behavior of AI, the game should learn basing on the actions taken by humans. I wonder how it will be done. Basically: will you use some AI algorithms to determine best solutions, or you will do it by yourself? That said I would like to ask, what is your opinion on Artificial Neural Network (ANN) being incorporated into the game (ie. the AI)? I was thinking about implementing it into a strategy-game project (Open Source) I've been wo
I agree with Dead Ghost; this game needs more depth. Everyone who has ever played DotA, knows how hard & unforgiving this game is. You have to understand the concepts of: Synergies between you and your team Cons/pros of majority of heroes (how to fight them and how to exploit your hero's strong attributes) Various skill build for your hero (which & why to choose) Ganking and surviving ganks Various item builds (that
* 20 Demigods (10 generals & 10 assassins) NOT MORE * Significantly bigger & more complicated maps (a lot more tactical options & the natural progression from providing more heroes) * Complete revamp of items: much more uniqueness & recipes/synergies/sets etc. (runes anyone? :D) * Game editor (importing models, adding AI behavior, new maps, new heroes, new items ...) - can't stress how important it is, especially in the long run, when - eventually - GPG will move onto new things
1. Chuck Norris doesn't travel between star systems - they just all merge in the place where Chuck is. 2. Chuck Norris is more scary than 10 x lvl 6 Marza. 3. Chuck Norris isn't listed in the Damage Charts as his +% dmg value would be so large, that no computer could handle it. 4. If you think that there is nothing faster than light, then you haven't heard about Chuck Norris. 5. If we could transform Chuck Norris into ship, it's exhaust would produce a pe
Hi there! I don't know if I am the only one, but IMHO maps in Demigod (DG from now on) are much too small & simple. I understand the motives of GPG developers to make the game more accessible, faster and easier to grasp, but seriously: what are the differences between all - present at the moment - maps? Some are smaller, some are bigger, but basically there's nothing really unique in them. Sure, we have flags, mines etc. But what about ganking, warding and backdoorin
Talk is cheap, show me teh replayz!!
Astax, when there will be some more replay goodnes from you? I can't wait for new package :).
How can anyone say that each race has something OP? Comparing anything to Marza it's like a joke. There isn't ANYTHING as OP in Advent (I don't play Vasari very often) army, as MB. If I am right Advent is about it's great Caps, but the point is, that in order to get close to the damaging potential of Marza you have to perfectly execute several abilities of a few caps. Ilums, carriers? Yeah, they are great, but you still can fight against them and they won't destroy your whole army in seconds.
