ok, so... for those who claim it to be overpowered... If there was a warning or something that would have given Dirty and the .com guy a chance to get their fleet out of the way... what good would wail be? laying such a trap is the whole point of the ability. now, if you feel it was overpowered, I could understand an argument for lowering the population to damage ratio, but a warning makes the whole thing useless. Thing is, most newbies don't want to be taught. I usually try to give advice to fresh players on what to build, when to attack, when to retreat etc... 80% don't listen. About 1/4 of those 80% start to insult me. 20% that do listen I usually don't see again. Give
quoting post My understanding of the Advent Rebel ability, Wail of the Sacrificed, is that it does 20 damage for every point of population to all adjacent gravity wells. So, if a planet with a population of 180 is sacrificed (like an ice) it would do 3600 points of damage to all ships and structures in adjacent wells. That's worse than a missile barrage that affects the entire gravity well. Is this ability overpo

The big question on my mind is, if Vasari rebels get phase jumping orkys, does that mean you can shoot a world with the kostura and drop a fully upgraded orky on them? And, once the world is a burnt cinder, activate the orky's phase and jump back home? Tha
Quoting Mecha-Lenin, reply 2I've seen kostura used maybe 2-3 times since nerf. It is useful in some situations, but generally not worth the money. Superweapons are generally not worth the money for any of them. Novalith included even with the TEC discount.
Novaliths are OK, not as awesome as old kosturas but still pretty decent.

Serious smurfing is near dead anyway. Cool, modders will play MP now;). I hope this will stop flood of theoretical discussions on balance in favor of ones actually based on gameplay:).

100% mirror maps are fine for TEC vs Advent (depending on size), but imba for Vasa vs TEC/Advent. Vasari neut control is factored in ship balancing, so static X neuts/side is favouring other race.

I think it's absurd that we're at the point where people are literally willing to throw their money at IC in hope of getting some basic MP features. I didn't buy Single Player game. I didn't even buy game with "single player focus" (not marketed as such). I bought game supporting both SP and MP, and since IC had been totally neglecting MP part of the game for past 4 years and won't even add few small but essential features to ICO, I feel majorly screwed over.
