Machine SID doesn't match in Sins of a Solar Empire Stardock Forums

Everytime i try and play Sins after buying Entrenchment i get an error message saying "The product appears to be validated but the Machine SID doeesn't match, try deleting the file C and re-activating." What does this mean, and how do i correct it?
