Now that I thik about it, to counter kyro's "repo button", I would have bio-implants that could kill any citizen on command. Kinda like implanted poison to kill any law breaking citizen on the touch of a button. It would make them think twice to dodge their 95% tax rate ... So if they DID blow up all the ships, and I didn't kill him on sight (presuming he did it in person), I would

"EDIT - Everyone who thinks 'lolz i can just not payzor', imagine what would happen if a major first-world country (like the US) wrote off all it's debts. We're talking about trillions of dollars, all over the world, in all kinds of markets, suddenly disappearing. It'd be a global economic catastrophe, and the defaulter would be as badly hit as everyone else." (spits drink out of mouth) Geez! I didn't know the US was in debt so bad? Wow, I'm surprised all of the nations haven't been a s

"No, they'll just hit their big red remote-repo button (read: self-destruct) that they had installed for every ship you bought..." LOL. I usually buy the one with no loans. Come to think of it thats a pretty good idea..... In any other case, I would try to black-mail mitrosoft into giving into my evil extortion or else...well accidents happen.

Of course, it is fun to cheat against an AI that has +130% economics. I think that justifies cheating don't you think?

I was trying to say it's Insanely difficult to win with cheats it must be near impossible to win without cheats. (yes I have a feeling someone is going to say "then don't play on ultimate AI settings")

I have plenty knowledge of game mechanics. HAve you played on ultimate on a gigantic map? It is near impossible to out research the Altarians the honest way.

11 Replies 5,214 Views

I know that, but what I'm trying to say is: even if you max out all natural racial stats, meaning putting all stats to their natural maximum, it is impossible to win against an ultimate AI.

I started to play against the AI on ultimate intellegence(they all had ultimate) and it is insanely hard. I even edited a custom race file to max points on all bonuses to where I had like negative 50 racial bonus points and still I got walked all over. Has anyone actually beaten an AI on this level? Oh, it was on gigantic map, conquest only victory, slow research, and rare planets habitable

I wish you could kill the ones that complain...put 'em in as slaves or concentration camps. P.S. I read that the Korath in Dark Avatar are genocidal. Can they build concentration camps to (cough) "take care" of the disatisfied citizens?

People in the future are to whiney! It's hard to run a city (sim city 4 is a pain) much less a goverment! Do they think it is easy to run ENTIRE planets? They even get P.O.ed when you have all morale trade goods and V.R. centers. "Oh the taxes are to high, we want a better goverment"...get over it future peoples! Good...got that out of my system <img src="http://images.stardock.c

Actually, I posted an idea about fighting your own minor races a long time before stardock had dark avatar out. Check it out. https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=247&aid=116235#969171 (No I am not saying stardock steals, but it just seems like a very unlikely coincidence that they will have it...)

CMON! Being a good civ has crummy benifits if you research the xeno ethics. Evil and neutral are the best paths to follow.

Hell, I get screwed ovver if I'm evil 'cause good civs and neutral civs vote in the same general direction: To hell with the bad guys by giving them a 1 route trade limit...Bastards...

Actually, the old saying is "keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer". You keep your enemies close so you know what they are up to. Getting to the post, I would LOVE to kick the AI out of my territory. People say it's the "sphere of influence" but I want to say to the AI "HEY! I build MY starbases in YOUR territroy and you get mad! but I can't say a damn thing to you!" <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/SadAngry.gif" border=0 ALIG
