2)as you said before, pirates use speed then power then defense. A pirate fleet will not be able to take over a planet since there are very few pirates (in comparison to a normal transport ship population).
Unless they use spores.
Prevents starbase usage for certain races? What? I think a wormhole generator could be implemented. Not like a ship wormhole generator, but a wormhole generator station, somewhat like a starbase. Since this would really shake up the game, it would be very high up in the tech tree. The starbases could link up to other wormhole starbases or existing wormholes. You do know that's basically what I said?
Oh, sorry. I just scan

Besides my U.P. thing I have a better idea of how to make the espionage system a little more practical and easier to read the data you get. I mean you get a big list and it's such a pain to read for a single tech this will definitely make it more easy and convenient: [link="https://forums.galciv2.com/?forumid=357&aid=141105#1115278"]WWW Link[/link] A lot of people liked this and I hope it gets recognized again. Since the espionage in TA is getting redone, why not do this?

Well as the U.P. goes, I think everyone shouldn't vote at one time. I mean congress doesn't have a bill and they say cast now! They debate and think about it, atleast thats what they should do. I still am scratching my head why the evil civs are picked on. I mean couldn't the evil civs go to the one good guy and say "Hey! We don't like you having trade routes, you use them to promote anti-slavery movements. So let's vote." -they vote- Evil guy:"Ha! sucks for you loser." The usuall U.P.

Oh, and yes I do agree that it should cost alot to maintain. Like a 100 bc a turn per wormhole starbase, since only the most powerful races could research this they would have to pa
I think pirates should just start with a planet they use as a secret layer. You wouldn't be able to tell it apart from any other planet. And pirate ships will go there to hide, so that your fleets are left clueless when trying to chase them down.
Yes, maybe in the corner of the galaxy somewhere where you would have to get through sectors of sectors of asteroids. If we had wormholes they would have secret wormholes that they could get around the galaxy and fulfill their ev

I noticed that the Drengin are a stable colonizer. Since the slace centers and black markets are cheap to run(especially the black markets, they have 0 upkeep) they have a fairly easy job of maintaing out of debt for a while. I like the black merkets, but unfortunately there is no black market level two or whatnot

I think pirates should steal a large number of a ship's fleet and a couple of transports. It should happen due to the low morale of a planet and the planet's angry pop would fill the transports. They might even conquer the planet and make it a pirate haven. The pirates, in my opinion, should be like mercenaries that you can hire. Say you want them to attack an enemy's trade routes. The ships would be unmarked, so the enemy couldn't attack the pirate planet directly. So the enemy would b
Can we used to chat to speak to CariElf?
Uh oh, you better look out Cari. I think you might be opening a can of worms here especially after that other thread you made....a bit of an awkward thread if you ask me.
I found something bizzare today. The "Arena of Agony" seems to be considered old when the "Arena" is avialable. This is kind of odd, because you start with Arenas, and need to research Arenas of Agony. Also Arenas of Agony is the better structure based upon the .xml file.
I noticed that too, odd. You can exploit the evil xeno ethics because once you research xeno ethics, it gives you the psyonic beam right of the bat. (I like that exploit <img src="smiles/Wink.gif" border

I know this is just a beta, but what happened to the Drengin economy buildings? After the black market they just revert back to the bland, regular buildings. I'm sure this is just a part of the tree not completed yet(I hope so). I just want to know how the Drengins twisted ways will be shown in this part of the tech tree. PS: if you don't know it yet, reseraching evil xeno ethics gives psyionic beam right off the bat.
Yes, you can post AARs and make all the people who didn't pre-order jealous.
Make us do your work will ya! ....ofcourse what evil Drengin wouldn't want to make others envious? Make 'em so jealous they beat their heads on their keyboards! (pain anyone?)

If you could send missiles at other planets, why not use those missiles to blow up enemy ships? It seems silly that planets can't have guns that ca shoot down an enemy ship. Anyone here seen Stargate?
I think this would put extra strain on the memory limit, since every race has unique ship styles. Given they are working so hard to find a solution to that problem I doubt it would be possible for a while. personally i don't need all the bells and whistles of 36 full-blown races, but i'd absolutely LOVE to have the option of playing with more than 10 on a map... 35 opponents? that'd be awesome, and i'd be totally content if that meant my custom oppo

Or better yet, when a race surrenders all the races can bid against eachother for the spoils! 21 here! 22! 25! 27! 1,2,3 Earth SOLD to the Drengin in seat 36!

That wall would be a pain to defend if you mined put mining stations on all of them. Maybe you could have a defensive unit that would excell moving through asteroids, but would be slow while not in a field.
