i don'r understand how the replay function works, i don't even know how to view a previous play game, or save one for later reviewing.

but for gauss turrents, are the damage inflicted per hit the same for both advent compare with TEC. I think TEC is slower, because it fires bullet like salvos compare with Advent where it is more beam weapon hence more continuous.
I want to ask..is TEC in 1.03 become extremely powerful. My friend and i played separate single player games. He said for him, it was way too powerful because it can get income way too fast. For me...i find that its abilities to collect crystal is extremely slow. He thinks advent is useless, because their ships are so weak. I told him..no, but they have good shields. In my current game, i am being attacked by 3 different factions, one vasari a
this made my dad :D
there will be a campaign come expansion. It takes time to make a campaign and the devs did not have time to fit it all in. besides, what they tried to do was in a sense an experiment in new game mechanics implementation, which end up to be extremely successful given the reviews. I guess one step at a time.
there are multiple threads why Galciv 2 multiplayer are not developed. You should search the forums around for them. Not having a multiplayer do not detract the quality of a game. It might even added value to it. Consider the elderscrolls series. People play it over and over again because of the non-linearity of game play and immersive story line. Galciv 2 has strong AI and random map generation, hence it has a great replay value. It is more important and much better that a strong AI is pr
If starcraft took 15 patches to balance the AI and the game itself, i think we should not expect Sins to be balanced any faster. So give it time, this is only the 3rd patch.
boarding and capturing of enemy ships would be nice, just assign random success or failures to it. Maybe make it a researchable tech, and let the computer automate it. And do it only if ships are with in certain distances of each other. Also, planetary invasions are nice. It doesn't have to be fancy, the computer can just state whether the attempt was success or a failure and decide it based on probabilities.
I have ordered Galciv2 TA, via money order. I ordered the digital download only option. Does that mean after stardock sales received my order, and then i am eligble to particpate in the beta. Or will i have to wait until the game is released then i just download the game. One other question, for the background to the Galciv 2 story and the gameplay, how come in Galciv 1 and 2, the terran only starts with one planets and very basic ion drive. According t
i went to my local ebgames and saw Galciv 2 gold edition, dark avatar expansion included. The price is still 39.99 $CDN. Dark Avatar expansion sells for around the same price. I don't see it going away or fading away anytime soon. Plus, there are always mods being created for the game.
I think Brad's friend Bruce is missing something when he criticize Galciv 2 for lack of multiplayer. that is a game's replayability value. if a game do not have multiplayer value, then for it to have long shevle life, it needs to have great replayability value. Galciv 2 and the civ 4 series has plenty of that. Everytime i play either of these games, i feel like i am playing a different game. The game Overlord is a great and fun RTS, but it is very linear and after the first round through it
there are certain genere are almost plain dead. Space flight sims are totally gone from the PC. RTS and FPS are almost the only things that keeps on rolling off the shelves non stop. I read in the recent issue of PC gamer, that developers are not probably making shorter and shorter RPGs, the new fallout 3 will not be as long as Oblivion or the Baulder's Gate series. with TBS games, thanks to success of Galciv and Civ 4, there are still markets for them. the rest that still are comin
Okay..this is what i found out to solve the money problem. I was always in your situation before. So i figured that for each planet you are colonizing, have two entertainment center, forget building any farms. Have at least one research lab, and have one factory if you wish. But you don't need it for each of your planet. Next, for the spending slider, make sure you drop the miltary slider to almost zero, and then increase your social production to a resonable level, then slowly incr
but the games for console is so much different than for PCs. I mean, pc games are so much more sophisticated than consoles. FOr console games. there are less thinking involved, basically, pointless waste of time game playing on a couch.
but you can download new contents with Xbox live or similar services for Playstation 3. That is just not fair.
I live in toronto, and every EB game store i go, there seems to be a trend that is occuring: they are creating less and less floor space for pc games, and more and more floor and shelve space for console games. A EB game closet to where i live, it was so bad, i ask the staff there, "do any of you play pc games, because i need some help with what you guys think of such and such a game" they told me everyone on staff do not play any pc games. They are all into consoles.&nbs
I am not personally into multiplayer. I have nothing against it. In the past, i never have dedicated internet connection at home, so i never had a chance to experience multiplayer for many genere of games. But when i do have dedicated access, i never found time for it. Let's see, i don't have time for any of the MMORGs, i looked at what other people does on MMORG and the time they spent on it, i never have the willingness for that type of time committment. I get motion sickness extremely ea
I want to ask, if you have a trade alliance with the AI, does that mean that it won't attack you. I am playing a large map being TEC, and two AI advent players are asking me for trade alliances, in the middle of a firefight with them. After i accept their offer, their ships refuse to leave. WTF??? that is one hell of a funny trade alliance, i mean, if you are going to trade with someone, you should not be attacking them too. Also, in one
I think in a sense, the reviewer got it both right and both wrong, it depends on whether you are part of the competitive game playing or the hard core game playing crowd. By hard core, i mean people likes their games to not only breaks ground in every aspect in game mechanics and game design, but with perfect execution. And competitive gameer type, i am referring to all those pro star craft players. For me, Sins will always has its own charms, and to echo Frogboy, the game is not as in depth
I have a question, for TA, will there be a tech which allow ships to cloak and also will there be a tech for phase missiles like in Sins??? Thanks
I want to ask, to actually win a game session in Sins, do you have to literally either wipe all the other players off the map?? Or is it enough to make all the other AI players surrender. Also, what is your longeest gaming session for any one map. I think for mine, it was like 10 hours on a five stars system large map. And i hardly took out anyone or move beyond the star system i started out in. :(
I want to ask who created the artwork characters for Galciv 2, all the race protraits looks kind of goofy. the Drengin protrait in the diplomacy screen don' t look threatening. It looks like it has a big smirk on his face everytime it tries to talk to you. Like it wants to invite you over to beer. The torians and the protrait of Alan Bradley, i thought i might have saw those two plusy fluffy animals in my local disney store. Seriously, why the characters looks kind
I find that in 1.03, after destroying the AI seige frigate, which ever race it happens to be, the AI still retreats, but it takes longer this time than pre 1.03. I was TEC and the AI was Advent, and it has those caps with disabling abilities and it just kept trying to disable my repair platforms and my gauss cannons. but i persisted and managed to destroyed the seige frigates. AI's force had a slight numerical superiority over mine, but it left nonetheless. I thought it was staying for the
more movement tactics and combat options for ships. Like functions for guarding structures and other ships. Having different formations options and also ability for evasive manuvering and also cover fire would be nice. Last thing is options of attacking while holding its ground would be nice too. This way, there are more tactical elements to combat.
Galciv 2 gold edition has been out for almost a year now. And the price at my local EB games has not been dropping, soooo don't expect Sins to be dropping anytime soon.
