i never have problem with the update system. And please clonehigh, have some manners, stop making yourself sound like a 10 year old. If you have a complaint, do so in a polite fashion. Don't need to cause a scene on the forum.

the only thing i remembered about the homeworld arts and graphics were the ships look very japanese anime influence. But that is neither bad or good, it just set it apart to be different and very memorable. Sins's ship is kinda like looking at Nexus the jupiter incident. Playing Nexus felt like watching a sci-fi movie at times. Playing Homeworld felt like watching a japanese anime.

it doesn't help the general public's impression, when one of the biggest game retailer in North america is devoting so much more shelve space to console compare to pc games. Digital distribution is still not an entrench trend. It is a trend, but at the end of the day, many people still like to go shopping and hold a physical product in their hand. It is just a different experience compare to online purchases. Before you decide, you can get instant live feed back when you are purchasing in st

i think console games are getting more sophisticated. But then, it can only be up to a certain point, i mean...for a console, it allows you to be a couch potato gamer. And when you are sitting on a sofa relaxing, you really don't want to wrack your brain to do much thinking. For pc games, it is different, you sit in front of an office desk, in front of a monitor, in that position, it forces you to think more. Okay, maybe Frogboy is the only exception where he can play galciv 2 on his bed, but

blizzard knows how to create good art, that is for sure. Starcraft was good and innovative for its time. but its glory does not last forever. Within 20 years or so, when the next generation grows up, they will have some other game to be obsessed about. It is like Elite way back when, but now...the space fight and flight simulator genere has moved on. One thing is true, when SC 2 comes out, people will go buy the game as if they are all hypnotized and under a spell to go and buy it

i don't even know where to get an original copy of X1, i had to download a copy from torrents. If anyone can tell me where i can find a mint copy, i would love to get my hands on it. Of course, i want the expansion too.

The manual for LE is the worse piece of documentation of any software i have ever seen. it is extremely unclear. Compare with SE 5, oh my god, where do i even begin. SE 5 have like a giant 300 page downloadable manual, everything is explained and over explained. Galciv 2's brief manual is much more clear compare with LE's manual. And there is nothing exciting about any aspect of the game, it felt so slow the first 100 turns. Compare with Galciv 2 or SE 5.

but for me, if i developed the engine techs, the AI catches on. I had spore ship researched, and then he has every single planet garrisoned to the teeth. Korath is good in a sense because if you get spore tech, you don't have to do planetary invasion tech for awhile, leaves you sometime to research other things.

we still don't know who are the Thanlans. Why are they from the future and what are they doing in the present galciv universe??? Is it only to avoid some disaster that the humans willl unleash in a future point in time. But if that is the case, how did they survive and are they the enemies in a future time against the humans, against the dread lords.

the bottom line is, if you want a hard copy, just paid out additonal 10 dollars, you will get a cd inside a box in the mail. What is the problem anyways. You can always sell the hard copy on ebay afterwards if you get sick of the game. No one will stop you or no one will accuse of selling pirate games if you have proved of purchased. Or if you hate the game afterwards, just toss thet hard copy to the garbage bin and never download that game again. It is extremely simple. Problem solved. La

are you playing TA or DA. I played TA once on normal, then i had it on crippling. Anways on both occasions, the kyrnn had problems with me. I was Korath in both cases. Well to make a long story short. For normal in TA, the kyrnn just kept launching fleets of heavy fighters on my lucky Ranger. after like a hundreded tries where my Lucky Ranger just kept killing and killing them. it finally send in ships with enough fire power in missiles tech to take it out. But for the crippling

Hi I just downloaded TA a few days ago and started playing as the Korath. I want to ask regarding the autodesign feature for ships, does the AI build a new design after the relevant new tech gets researched, or when better weapons are researched. Also, if i ask the AI to design a ship for me with certain parameters given, does it design a new ship right after the next turn. I noticed that there are like 20 versions of Defenders on the build template. <

this is similar to the issue of owning virtual assest on Second Life. People were wondering what happens to all the money they shelled out to purchased virtual estates on Second Life's world if for whatever reasons, the company that runs second life ever goes bankrupt. If you purchase something via digital distribution, and you want to own a hard copy, you can always pay the extras to get it ship to you. After all...digital distribution is a convenience for consumers to get the copy of their

stardock's anti-drm policy has a tendency to deter pirates because people do become loyal customers whom will acutally go and purchased their games instead of just pirating them. With Chris Taylor singing the doom and gloom song of the death of pc gaming industry, this marriage will breath back some new life into the industry.

I think it would be more entertaining to see hwo the hackers and crackers will break the new system first. Come on...this must be some news to the hacking community, new challenges for them, and then of course, the next thing will be the definite possibility of causing inconveniences to their customers whom has purchased and waited for so long to play the game. I am betting within one week after this game is released, i will be sseeing it on some bit torrent site and the people compla

but can't stardock release patches for galciv2 that will take advantage of the most up to date graphic cards. If not, then maybe they should find a way to do it for their next upcoming fantasy based strategy game. Or they can release a patch that will either add or delete lines of code which will do this. I am not a programmer, but if they can get around the problem of graphics, then the game engine issue is nto that a big deal. Look at it this way, there are games that are bing developed wh

I am currently playing a game on either tough/crippling. I am playing the korath, and currently i have all my mini tech researched and my spore tech researched. My military is not really developed but i own 7 planets on a gigantic map. the only people that don' t like me and want to wipe me off the map are the iconians and the Thanlans. Well the thanlans are busy fighting their own war but they have allied with the iconians to beat me by giving them their own ships.&nb

i forgot to mention that in the new TA that is coming out, there are more additional features like map and scenario editors, and other extra goodies. ALso, would you consider chess is not a good game if you can only play against one player. But what if i tell you that the computer is as strong as a human if you were to play against the computer only, or even stronger, does it make chess a bad game. Having multiplayer might not be as attractive. Let me illustrate. For Sin
