I personally have had only good experiences with World of Warcraft. I played it for a couple of years. I may be bored with it now but it was certainly worth the money spent. I found it to be an enjoyable game and a definite jewel of a MMORPG.
My apologies if this is a repost. (I searched and found few answers) I have recently been using guardians a lot. In a few games now I have noticed that planet purging vessels are able to continue bombing the planet despite being pushed all the way to the phase lane. Is this normal or intended? Is it a local thing? (Anyone else experiencing this strange problem?) Any help or information would be wonderful.
I think Penny Arcade explains it best. http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2004/03/19
I really like the Thalians. (I also enjoy Very Slow research) From the games I've played so far their is a bit of a trick. They really are like a hive. Try to grab planets but don't worry about not putting improvements on them. Treat planets like starbases. The first techs I reach for are the economic ones. You will notice that getting those techs is easier then trying to acquire the manufacturing and research ones. Once you have your first banking tech. Turn your h
Just a note on Terror Stars. While its recommended you have space superiority. Its not a must. Their have been a few games now that terror stars have been the turning point. They were not just some cool gimmick, but a part of my army. An example is sneaking one or two fleets and a pile of constructors deep behind the enemy lines. If you are successful you build your Terror Star just outside a key system. The enemy has 10 turns to stop you or they lose a lot of their infras
This same bug happened today as well. I always feel bad. I do what any evil race leader would do. Trade for the tech and then destroy the minor race. :)
I'm sure we are just seeing the new AI in action. It KNEW you where going to win that match so why bother fighting? :)
[quote] The AI is still getting access to advanced techs in Beta 3A. I've noted the Korath having invulnerability fields and hyperwarp III engines, the Torians having Warp IV drive and the Drengin having Droid Sentries far too early in the game for those civilizations (or any other unless it's the Dread Lords) to have legitimately developed them. I've seen this one reported in other threads but do not see it showing up on the list of reported bug
how do we *get* the beta? thanks You need to use Stardock Central. (You can download it from the main page.) When it boots it will show you some tabs. The topmost tab is "games". In that folder you will find GalCiv2. Make sure the "Show Pre-release versions" checkbox at the bottom of the application is checked. If an update or beta release is available you will see a new button beside the game tha
Here is my take on Version 1.3 Beta 2. It HAS slowed. Some of the animations on my machine are noticeably slower. On the whole however its not really slowing my game play much. (It might take a second longer to scroll threw the tech tree.) One of the BIG things is that this patch fixed some long standing memory issues. This is the first time in a long time that I can load a game while in the middle of a campaign and not have the game crash. If I have to pay for this stab
While this may be true with the current version of the game. You may find that research will become pivotal in the upcoming patch. (Well pivotal IF you turn off Tech trading) Hopefully the new patch will add some new challenges for us all to enjoy.
This is what I'v noticed. The Yor while technically better do suffer from some under-the-hood issues. I've edited the race files and played with a lot of settings not usually available. Even with some great boosts to my diplomacy the Yor always suffer from some kind of diplomatic decay with all the races. (This is really noticeable with a smart AI as they tend to gang up on the Yor early, thus voiding their early advantages.)
Go into your "My Documents" folder. Go into the folder called, "My Games". Go into the folder called, "GalCiv2". Delete all the files ending with ".raceconfig" If you just want to fix the terrans their file is called, "CurrentCustomRace0.raceconfig" Hope this helps.
At least if you have the cd, you can pretty much always run a game. Not true with GalCiv2. What if say, Mr. Waddell gets hit by a car tomorrow? Stardock goes under and boom, no one can get the patch anymore I'm certain if the company was to suddenly have trouble it would simply release the last patc
EB does have some on its shelves. Counted 3 boxes at EB in Halifax, Canada dsmorning. Just keep on em they may not have put up their stock.
