Those files were in my units folder there, I did delete them and then ran the game, it worked.

Hah, I was thinking that might help for idiots like me who think "Maybe if I delete them all something diffrent will happen" Of course something diffrent turned out to be something bad. Thanks for the help there though, I'll do that when I get home and hopefully be able to try it out more.

I haven't had much time to try and play, but when i did I was looking forward to making my sovreign. Not sure if I'm missing it somehow but seems I can only use the preset ones. Out of frusration I deleted all of them, and from there it doesn't let you go any further, wether you verify the game or reload it those pre sets will not come back and it won't let you start a game without choosing a pre set sov. I'm re-installing now to see what happens, I'm sure it'll work. <

Badly need help to fix problem in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I posted this yesterday as my problem. I'm not sure if this is a bug or what, but I went into my game and all the sudden, my ships only show as green icons, the planets dont show at all for ones I own and others are just white rings on the map. Other then that everything looks pretty normal. It doesn't look like a bug though, just some.. lower graphic option maybe? Also it shows trade routes I think on the map. I have gone through all my options and got frusrated hitting every key on

I've checked other games on my comp and settings for possible video card problems and there is none. I've played Gal Civ 2 just fine for a bit, just happened to be like this now as I started it up. The performance had also always been fine... Still is with everything missing and down graded.
