In multiplayer games balance should always trump flavour. Ideally both would co-exist perfectly, but that rarely happens.

Of course, one needs to think about it more in terms of balance than flavour. Is this a balance issue? Or just a flavour-text one? If the former, then it needs to be fixed. If the latter then it's hardly serious.

Turn off the "Show pre-release" option, then right-click on Demigod and select "verify install", it will say that your install is borked and then say that an update is available. Install that and you'll be back

Huh, I'm using Vista and the victory screen seems to show up fine for me. Then again, if it's intermittent it could work fine 100 times and then not on the 101th, so can't really draw any conclusions from that.

Ah, so your video card can share RAM with the system? Well, I don't think that's really going to change anything. Simulating having 128MB is nowhere near as good as actually having 128MB, and since 128MB is the minimum needed I don't think your system is going to be able to run it, even if you did get 2GB of RAM.
