The changes on the journal page are for 008 I think (1.20.008->1.20.009). This change (rather a quickfix) must be so minor that it's not really worth to find it out before the offical 1.2 release or the next beta

@userfriendly I for one hope that an expansion is an AI focused expansion and not just candy. Eg. Some would like additional races added or more ship components etc... Well Adding another race is just cosmetic. More ship componets etc is a nice to have but doesnt really change much since the combat system is already laid out. -unless another dimension is ALSO added eg

I agree with what the above posters said (#3-#7 as of now). The point where I agree with the OP is that there should be put some kind of limit on how many buildings of the same category can be built on one planet. I know this would lead to problems (what to build ) on the higher class planets (like 16+), but could be circumvented by implementing a decrease in efficiency. Just for ex

Thanks for the impressive work, guys! I love GalCIv II since its initial release. As said before, it's worth every penny. Actually it's worth at least 2 times the amount I paid for. Imho the sites & magazines should do a 2nd review - the list of things fixed, changed & improved since 1.0/X is endless...

There is no territory in Space you could possibly control. It makes no sense at all - there is no way to control a vast amount of pure nothing. To get you an idea about the non scaled distances we are talking about here (one parsec is app. 19,173,511,600,000 miles from one side to the other), go to Link . Tell me how it would be possible to control even a very small part of 1 parsec <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Ew.gif" bor

Hello Calactic fans. What can i do. It takes about 1 minute when i save the game. Also the quick save functions takes such a long time. What can i do? I use the last update of GalCiv2. What kind of system you got (CPU, Memory, Harddisk, Pagingfile size)? Are you sure your Harddisk is defragmented and you have at least 5-10% free space on i

- the Terrans and Drath did rather poorly in colonization phase... they didn't build colony ships sometimes for long periods of time when there were still plenty of planets in their vicinity unsettled. Also, I saw both of these races discover a resource and then send 5-6 constructors to it when they should have built colony ships In 1.1 the

am I missing some ways to speed up repairs - some magic tech? What you can do to speed up rapair a bit apart from moving your ships to planets is chosing the rapair ability for your custom race or build the microrepair bots trade good.

Frogboy wrote in the full change log thread (in the journals section), that it will be released within the next 24 hours.

Don't install it. It doesnt seem to be rdy yet. Someone else and I already replied it the Full Change Log thread. It says 1.1012 in SD Central, but the 1.0X gets installed. Better wait for another few hours

I never knew the English language could be mauled that badly until now Truly horrible. I had a headache after reading it. Apart from the obvious struggle with the language ( no problem with that, I hope at least you also are no native), structure and correct manners, he missed out to put some sense in his p

Actually I selected Pop Growth in the abilities tab for my first game just to make the switching from the earlier version a bit more smoothly. Unless you got 100% approval (+100% pop growth) it is barely noticeable - the racial bonus is applied afterwards. I don't have much experience yet, but I wouldn't say it's too strong now.

I'm really enjoying the new version, too. Especially the blind exploration mode rocks. Still playing my 1st BETA game - the defeat is in sight. Started as the Yor on a medium map with the Drengin, Terran and Altarian, all on intelligent. After the initial building up phase the Drengin started to declare war... on ALL civs, one minor included. The Terran have been wiped out quickly by the Drengin - they fell back in military t

I think the pop growth change in 1.1 will do a cap on colony rushing. Brad already wrote about a game (1.1 BETA) in which he overexpanded and crippled his eco.

Great news! You guys doing an awesome job there. I wish your game was reviewed once more after the final 1.1 is out. Eventually you'll get even 100.1 out 100 points Avatar Draginol wrote: So you can't easily tell how vast someo

They capped the Eyes of the Universe wonder for a reason. There were severe performance hits if you saw most of the screen including lots of fleet / ship movements. Imho they should scale the effect of this wonder depending on the map size - On the larger maps it's ok to have a higher limit, but on a tiny / medium map it's just ridiculous to have a sensor range of e.g. 30 parsecs. Also if this wonder becomes more powerful, the build time / pr
