i don't get it? yes you do?

I now have won 4 games on Tough in a row Yeah I was getting to that point. I found the game almost getting boring, always winning the same ways. So I set up a Tiny map, with the Drengin , Yor and me . Put the AI on Painful and their intelligence set to Gifted . Planet settings all to Co
Do upgrades of a ship keep the same experience level? yes
What about a hybrid combat mechanism. Say..the first round uses current system (attacker fires, then denfender fires back if he lives) ...then all subsequent rounds use original mechanics (both ships fire and defend same round). It might give attacker the advantage and still maintain game balance. ( I haven't really thought about it beyond this). Good work so far guys and gal.
is it really bothering you that much?
if I play as my empire and win, and then submit it to metaverse, will it show up here? It will be recorded on your character sheet and also shown on your empire, if that character is in an empire. how, exactly
About submitting game records : In Main Menu, click Metaverse. Login with your ID. Setup the game how you want and play it. When your done, it will ask you if you want to submit the score to the Metaverse. Click OK. --(you only need to be online when you start the game and when you submit the score)-- As far as the lowdown on the Empire stuff, I dont know what to tell you. It'd probably be better to ask specific questions.
I answered your questions below. I think the problem was I started the game in version 1.1.beta4 but continued after I updated to 1.1 full. I think in order to reproduce it, i would have had to saved it before the glitch happened. The game reports that it was saved in 1.1 Beta 4. If you haven't already, please update to the final version 1.1. Try startin
I agree that it gets a bit tedious sometimes. I disagree, however, that sending constructors can be a logistical challenge. If we didn't have to send constructors to starbases, then we could just build influence starbases next to enemy planets and upgrade them at will, providing you have the money. (which wouldnt be that hard) The way we have it now, the enemy will destroy your constructors before it reaches the base. ( if your at war ) ( Wh
It will be a few hours before i can get that data to you CodeCritter. I'm at work and have that game on the home computer. oh and by the way, This level of feedback is astonishing, in a real good way. You guys at Stardock are a breath of fresh air, for some of us here living in the current 'smog' that is giant video game companies . Thanks.
yeah, that is probably true and I am not close to being an expert here. Yet there might be more side effects of being "hated", such as not being able to trade for techs will the good guys (if you do that). Your idea is sound I think, but doesn't it kinda force you into researching quickly to the "Good and Evil" tech, before the galaxy gangs up on you? Ive only played about 10 times, but in my short experience I do better when choosing the nuetral/good choices.
is there any reason not to always pick the evil option every time and then simply pay those irrelevant 10 BC per turn later to be good or neutral ? the evil options are worth a lot more then those 10 BC per round (and if you want to go neutral its only 2500 BC total, most time i can afford that in one shot) if you dont mind being g
yea, i spend most of the game time on the 2D map (zoomed far out), takes a while to get used to playing by symbols, but the time it saves is worth it. lol, on my settings, habitable planets are just blue, no texture mapping whatsoever. so I got two questions: 1) this 64 MB nVidia GeForce2 Ti i have, it says it doesn't support DirectX 9 - yet I am able to play some games like GalCiv2 and Dawn of War (which says it requires DX 9). Anyone know why this might be? <br/
Just thought you should know that I game quite a bit and my sony desktop (from 2001) is still running. yup I actually play GalCiv2 with a Pentium 1.6 Ghz, 512 MB Ram and (wait for it...) a 64 MB nVidia GeForce2 Ti. the end game takes some time to complete though (choppiness), and quiting to the desktop takes like 4 minutes, lol.
oops , sorry, i read your post in the other thread. i sent you the .rar compressed file of the saved game. but i made up a subject line and just referred to the forum in the body.
Sorry bout the double post, put in the wrong forum first time. So I was playing and the Korx just surrendered to me. That included a class 30 planet they had. So now I have it and its full of research and manufacturing plants. So I move my slider to 90% research to crank out some tech. 1) I hit the turn button a few times and liook at my money, it said -2987429822...(off the screen) but i had about 6000 last time i checked and made about 800 a turn. 2) Every time

You should have digital download at least, that way we're not forced into the store to pick up the box and bing it to the counter, where the cute check-out sales girl has permantly marked you as a loser because you play video games.
I chose both this time, if its not nessecary let me know. any way heres the debug.err: (all drivers are Up to date, but i know my vid card is old. Well its good to know its not just me. I agree its very annoying. If its not specific to the Microsoft wireless keyboards, then it might be low battery power. If its not those two things, then maybe its fixable through the game. I have no idea.
like the title says, when I type something during a game (like name of ship, planet...) this strange Y character appears randomly. It looks like a capital case Y with two dots over it (or lone pair of electrons for those chemists out there). I believe it has to do with using the Microsoft wireless keyboard, im almost positive. Just letting people out there know. Not sure if theres a fix for this.
GalCiv2 goes on my list of the best games ... GalCiv2 Total Annihilation Heroes III Neverwinter Nights + Tribes 2 Dungeon Keeper 2 and no list would be complete without mentioning the experience of ...Daggerfall
