Another patch, more fixes but again more issues too :( Major issues found of this patch 1. Noone in your army regenerates Action Points between turns when fighting a battle as opposed to auto resolving one. 2. Still many summoned creatures who have abilities that require mana yet have no mana, which pretty much DEFEATS the point. 3. Game crashes if you exit to main and abandon game and then try to reload a game without fail, every time. 4.&n

Okay so I got the latest patch woohoo! or um not so much as per usual it has created issues while fixing others. New issues I've noticed thus far. 1. Can no longer access Sovereigns EQUIP screen. You moved the button from the portrait to an EQUIP button choice inside the character panel as far as I can tell where champions are concerned but the sovereign has no equip button anywhere inside OR outside of the character panel. 2. Horses.. if you have som
I hear ya. Seems like an interesting and deep game if it wasn't behaving weirdly and has loads of technical issues. I know the designers put a lot of effort and thought into this, and have made some great games, but this doesn't seem anywhere near ready for release.
Unfortunately, I would tend to concur. I'm also kind of curious how all the beta testers missed ALL this stuff in house and in open beta.

Okay been playing it pretty much since the early release for preorders non stop :) played the campaign, and then 2 kingdom games and 1 empire. I have encountered a multitude of bugs, ctd's, memory leak issues and general frustrations. Caravans of an opponent parking in my cities making it impossible to select them directly, only via the list to the left hand of the screen. As such it becomes fairly necessary to use the Teleport object to cursor cheat to move things

A little bit funny, but tragic story of my life: The last time I waited with as much anticipation was for MOO3...that was depressing. I deserve to be rewarded this time! haha
The Word "depressing" does not give with due credit just how BAD MOO3 turned out :) it was Terraboffle!
They aren't charging any of the newer preorders (post beta 4) till sometime tomorrow probably. Seeing as how I work till 6pm tomorrow night its all the same to me. It will be here waiting for me to download when I get home.
What do they class as "newer" preorders? as I ordered weeks ago, so its not particularly new, per se

Someone in an earlier post indicated they didn't get the confirmation e-mail but did have the game listed in "My Games" area. Normally I wouldn't even worry about this until after 1pm tomorrow but I got sucked into the forums and am posting against my better judgement.
I recieve
My mistake, I misread the question entirely. *Goes to the corner in shame*
Actually my query was relating to BOTH player and NPC sovereigns so no need to go to the shame corner are you were partly right ;) And if the game does end if you sovereign dies then thats kind of poor as it straight away negates the relevance of a Dynasty system...i.e next in line as stated on the dynasty info page being irrelevant.

I'd imagine that they wouldn't escape that easily, but what happens to their kingdom? Does control fall to their children, or does it become a neutral kingdom?
In the post about it it was stated Sunday evening, possibly Monday morning for Beta Testers and Monday for preorders.

I'm curious as to IF the AI is affected by having a sovereigns offspring slain in any way? If you slay an NPC sovereigns offspring does it cause a huge diplomactic negative with them or some scuh making any chance of peace beyond that point that much harder to achieve with them? Does the AI take into consideration the significance of the unit slain at all? I mean Roland has slain Ythrir's son (only son I assume) and considering he had a defect that makes him less likely to

One thing Gal Civ lacked that i assume this game does too that would have been excellant and very useful is the following. When you create a Randomly Generated map sometimes you will get a really good map, but once you have started the game you have no way of exporting the map so you could re-use it in a different game with a different species/sovereign OR even edit it in the editor to make a good random map into an even better custom tweaked map. As such I would lik

I don't know about "re-make" but FINISH..for me would be Guardians:Agents of Justice which was to be a turn based Xcom UFO style of game but with a superhero theme. Microprose never got to finish it and kinda went the way of the dodo before I could finally get my hands on it and I had waited for OH so long.. :( http://web.archive.org/web/199706071819

I have to say i too am curious about the Diplomacy, moreso as im a little perturbed by having heard people say the other factions will generally always declare war on you early on. I was hoping the Ai would allow for now expansionist or martial type opponents as well, so that we could meet a neighbour who doesnt want to fight they just want to trade or have peace at any costs...so that you get a mix of AI personalities not just one type, one approach to the player etc.. What would you call the game-code in the back of the novel? I'll clarify: I'm glad they don't have any in-game codes in the limited editon of the game that we were talking about.
Its nice enough, can't wait to play the game. The only reason I went for normal as opposed to limited is because it didn't offer anything "in game" bonuswise.. unlike the novel, which will be giving us another campaign type thing in game so i have novel pre-ordered (although being in the UK can I just say getting the novel over here NOT EASY), you may want to look into that. Manuals, maps, miniatures etc..all nice but in game bonus/incentive codes I personally tend to find muc

Frogboy, are you not concerned that your neighbour Yithrir, not only went from a cloth vest to Platemail in 38 turns (cloths on turn 20, and was in plated by 58), would seem to imply either his loot finding luck is way better than yours or that kingdom is very MARTIAL. This is pretty much backed up too by the fact he went "yeah peace, just stay ot of our territory" to declaring war on you for no apparent reason and without being within in his territory by the end of those 38 turns.</p

I am stoked by the announcement of a turn based 4x Fantasy game and shall be looking forward to that! especially if it has the sort of play say Age of Wonders and Masters of Magic but with more options and being a little less totally combat oriented. sins looks nice but not being a fan of rts games in any shape or form ill pass on it and stick with Gal Civ:DA for my sci fi fix :)

Final Fantasy 7 6. Skies of Arcadia: Legends 7. Elite (Amiga 500 version) 8. Privateer (amiga 500 game) 9. Masters of Orion 2 10. Gal Civ 2 (DA+TA)
