I want to buy some of the premium packages but still get system crashes from using the Dreamscapes on Vista 64Bit after about 15 minutes or so. I'm s sad...

Aloha! I hope all is going well with the project. Sadly I have been way to busy the past several weeks to even check in on the forums. I sent the beta files to two people to take over the project however I notice the last was over a month a ago. Did the project die or was it renamed?
Just got around to making the preorder.
For what it is worth an opinion from a gamer with nearly four decades of experience.... I make real good money and I used to buy a lot of games. Sometimes I had four or five unopened boxes at a time on the shelf due to a lack of time to get to everything in short order. Then the madness started with copy protection systems. Now unless it is a title I have a history with or a publisher I know and trust (like Stardock)I will not buy any titles on impulse and I surely will NEVER buy a Star
OK. We were working on the tech balancing and prerequisite oversight aspect when the project got put on the back burner. We were also considering linking some tech to a specific political party at a later date.
We had similar dilemmas when trying to develop a balanced approach. That is why heavy testing was necessary. However time proved to rather scarce for the both of us.
Email on the way.
Thanks! The first pack was mainly designed to equalize the points per ability and in doing so the pros and cons had to match. Moreover there were hard coded limits to contend with hence the appearance of a negative focus. Anyway, for the new system we established different parameters and the new systems look pretty damn good I think. Unfortunately do to real life responsibilities for both Tasty and I as well as an apparent lack of interest in this project by the community the developme
I got a lttile sidetracked with RL this past week. So was not able to finish the review. I guess it is was for the better as I really want the 1.3 update to be released before I do anymore more code stuff.
In all fairness to SOE this venture is a joint one and LA is the controlling partner. So it would stand to reason that SOE as the "front end" and content provider is doing exactly what it is told to do by LA.
My good friend works at SOE with Mr.Smedley, I'll send him a link to this post. Who knows maybe he will comment on it. BTW: Here is Mr.Smedley's personal BLOG. http://stationblog.wordpress.com/
Very nice micromod! Thanks for the effort.
Great job! I wanted to look at something like this for my default systems replacement mod. However with what I already decided to do, taking on the default ship system would have required a monumental effort (time wise). I am glad someone finally addressed this system. If you would be interested in integrating the projects together please contact me. My MSN is in my mod thread. Again great effort and I'm sure the community will enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Update: Sorry guys. I was very busy with work and family the past couples day and on top of that I got a cold. So I have not done anything since the last update by Gerbil.
It is a "tech" so look in the tech tree!
Things are progressing nicely we have finished all the basic data matrix's and fully developed our ability and penalty system. Currently we are in the process of establishing new variable sets for each race, both major and minor, as well as political parties and star systems. We will also release our default data matrix for the community as stand alone PDF and Excel workbook files, so others can use it/them as a quick reference resource for mod projects.
I would consider changing the name to simply Solar Empire. Additionally, from what I have read on the site I would say that Frogboy has been ghost writing for them. I bet it is his evil twin. Seriously though, it has potential if it is done with game play as the primary focus of development.
80 hour weeks are the norm here in Japan for most businesses. Moreover highly motivated young single staff will do 90+ to show their commitment to cause and gratitude to be able to work.
I dont remember if you guys got this already. If so then delete this post. gamedaily.com
A brief update: After over 10 hours of work on things today I finished the revision to the Ability Bonuses. I'll update my UAB mod file in the library shortly with it for others to test. Currently we are starting work on the racecon aspect. I will also be doing some more work on the political system sometime tonight. Some notes: There is a mistake is mod guide as abilities options limited to 4. I could have sworn it was more before but hay it has been a couple months. Additionally,
