We could do with an SDC forum as it's a much a valid target for feedback and ideas as the game itself. I personally think it could use some help, but then I'm just a big fan of the way Steam works (for the most part). SDC feels a little clunky, and also has real problems working with anything less than a Power User account which is very bad.

Your grasp of probability is weak. How many people have bought this game? So I'd say the chances of that situation happening to someone, somewhere, is pretty high. However, you should investigate that further and see if it continues to occur.
Space Empires has warp points which link sectors allowing for choke points, as well as a variety of things in these sectors like nebula and black holes which can affect ships. While GalCiv2 has gone for the open space model, I'd like to see open space made more interesting so that it's less A to B. I agree on carriers.
Actually, while we're at it, may I suggest the SDC steals a feature from Steam, which is an "Update Notes" button which allows you to view a complete change log for this patch, right back to the very first patch. An excellent feature to have IMO.
Can you please stop, or add the option to stop, Stardock Central recreating the default Start Menu icons after patching. I deleted them for a reason! It could at least ask
When landing on some planets you are offered a choice of how to do a situation. Though these are split into Good, Neutral and Evil, they end up as BAD FOR YOU, MEH FOR YOU, and GOOD FOR YOU, of which the evil choice is always the good for you choice. Why would you choose anything but evil (besides roleplaying, but this isn't a roleplaying game) with negative consequences when, as I understand it, you actually choose your alignment rather th
Invasion is certainly underdeveloped. The defender has no real way to shape the battle, and so if the attacker wants to win they will win. Losing transports does seem silly, and just is more micro in a game which tries to avoid this sort of thing. Multiturn would be interesting IMO, with both sides landing more troops. Defending a planet from space is nigh on impossible, since the attacks can have fleets from the word go while you will struggle to assemble a fle
Welcome to the horror that is mainstream
LintMan is spot on IMO.
Dab hand = good with. Must be a UK thing Hope this info helps! Sorry, I'd always ignored that link because I assumed it went to the Windows Systems Info tool. WindowBlinds 5.0 System Information Report: STATUS : WB+ SRV+ HLP+ UI+ TRAY+ WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC. WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC Your mach
Sorry, this should be on the WindowsBlinds forums, don't know how it ended up here.
I believe it has to cover the entire square.
Firefly, right up there with Profit in unjustly canned series.
I saw the same thing during the campaign with three scouts of mine and had to manually force them off in different directions. Definite one to fix, especially as it wouldn't surprise me if the AI uses this behaviour.
CD-WOW offer GC2 for £18 as well, and I don't believe that they're based in Jersey. I was gobsmacked when they were prevented from importing stock from Hong Kong. Some companies just wish to stick their head in the sand and pretend that the free market isn't happening. Not that it mattered, they simply switched to cheap areas in Europe.
As a dab hand with the mouse I've always been very sensitive to the slightest delay in UI response, and thus have been a Windows Classic person, plus there wasn't any themes out there that really caught my eye. However, I wanted a more exciting desktop and WindowsBlinds not only promised that, but no loss of performance (or even a gain!) along with it. Because of that I purchased the product. However, I've found that the painting of windows is far more obvious when a skin is enbabled. This mi
I would like a non-abusable tech trading method, but I don't doubt this will be addressed later.
The EULA is only available to you after buying and unwrapping the game. You'd be entirely entitled to a refund if you didn't agree, and it would be the STORE that would be responsible for providing that refund since they're providing the product, not the developer. They in turn would then need to take it up with the publisher.
Very terse, yet refreshingly to the point. I think you're wrong about stores, people like to own boxed copies of games, yes, but that doesn't mean they get them from stores. In the UK at least online retailers massively undercut the stores. I can get any new release from Play.com for £18... that's a steal! I see the future being a combination of boxes, online and the Stardock buy the box but download and play now till it arrives. <br
The Insane AI in DoW had a 25% income increase (which isn't displayed, even in a replay, but you can see from the speed with which it gets money compared to other players). Harder didn't cheat and everything below that was handicapped (and used a different AI script).
However, how does it rank against other 4X AIs? Weak, but not as weak as them, or can you name a 4X AI which handles war in superior fashion?
The first thing I do with every new colony is buy a factory. After that, I let the colony build it's own stuff Have I missed a big feature, or are you referring to specialising your planets after the initial factory?
1. No human would ever be able to navigate it. You wouldn't be able to see the inner-sectors from the outside, and visa versa. It would be like being able to see the air around you. 7. Non-fleet Vs. Non-fleet fights are only shown in the combat viewer if you set the battle type to Full. Fleets Vs. non-fleets are only shown if you uncheck the appropriate interface option.
Actually, from my limited experience of the game thus far, I have to give props for the fully documented differences between the AI levels. If only the difficulty levels were as well documented How about other 4X games? I know the Space Empire games aren't supposed to have particularly great AI, though it'll be interesting to see how the new scripti
I believe there's an option in Stardock, default unchecked, to archive a version when you update so that you can rollback later.
