I've got to admit, though, that the "Black Hole Eruptor" is uber-cool. I like seeing the singularities open up over the enemy ships. You can almost hear the crew screaming, knowing that their doom is assured.

... or is it my imagination? I find campaign play to be a furious research / finance magagement race to the end as compared to the more relaxed pace of regular gameplay. I've yet to have a game go on long enough to actually generate income for my civilization. For all newcomers, I would recommend playing a couple of games outside of campaign mode first- or you may be in for a rude surprise.
