I said that because of what my life has been, so far. (I can't openly smile either, but for a different reason) I hope I am wrong, though, in what I said. Life has to have some meaning, and reason. If it is strictly chance and then evolution to a cold death, then it is truly futile for all of us. Nothing we do or contribute has any meaning whatsoever. (From current observations, this universe is
Start young, it gets harder to fit life on a paper the older you grow.
Actually, not. The older you get, the more succinct things become. The young want to make every minor detail into a major event. With experience you can more narrow down to the more important life changing events. As such, come back in 30 years with your new version - then compare the two. I think you will find that I am right. Here is my

Pain is as much in the mind, as in the body. You can block out either kind, with a little discipline. And your story is not much different from millions of others. Most of us have been bullied, and most of us have had pain in life. That's life.

It could be a problem with the memory used. If you are using a 32-bit OS you are generally limited to 2GB of memory space. If your game needs more than that it will use the swapfile, which slows things down.
Are you aware that solar panels actually produce less energy as the ambient temperature rises? So much for building them in the desert.
So why not build them in perpetually cold regions then? How about on the fringes of Antarctica? No animals to kill off, higher efficiencies... Just have the problem of transferring the power. Would that offset the costs of building closer, but a bit less efficient? Currently, solar
You mean doing things like making cars run 20 times cleaner? Oh right, we've already done that. It's probably what got this CO2 nonsense started, the hippies ran out of shit to bitch about when the automobile industry spanked the shit out of everyones expectations and damn near eliminated exhaust byproducts with unleaded gasoline, a chunk of charcoal, and an oxygen sensor.
Yes, with the introduction of the catalytic converter - which converts other more harmful elemen

SSD's are nice, if you have the cash. They'll probably be standard equipment 10 years from now. Most people do not need them, though. It is one thing to want the speed, and quite another to really need the speed.
What matters is that we humans are a parasitical infection on this earth consuming its living beings and poisoning the planet with our technological waste.
That is probably one of the stupidest statements I have come across in a very long time. So, if you really believe that you are simply a "parasitical infection", why not just kill yourself
Even if climate change is not due to human activity we are screwing things up for our future generations due to our appetite for consumption.
Well, I am sure glad that you are not one of those 'consumers', but someone that takes it seriously enough to rid yourself of all those polluting items in your life - except for your computer, that is (and your electricity, heat, air conditioning, and everything else that makes you so comfy). Truth is, we wo

So Frogboy, Are you talking about GalCiv2 - the original Dread Lords? Or only about one or two of the expansions? Because, really, DL has not seen a decent update in quite some time. It is still back at 1.5something. How about a token of thanks to all of us that bought the original but don't have the expansions (for whatever reason, be it don't want or can't afford)? We, after all, sent this snowball rolling down the hill for you.

As far as I know, the prefs.ini file is created with default values when the game is installed - not after it has run. The debug.err file is created fresh each time you start the program, and well before you would come to a black screen. So the files are there. You just need to look in the correct locations. (make sure you can see file extensions in Windows Explorer - it will make it easier)

I have always found it easiest to set certain planets to constructing nothing but constructors, then launch them as they are built but leave them next to the planet. When I have enough, I fleet them up and send them to a starbase. That way I don't have to deal with upgrading it every turn or so, but can 'fill it up' in one shot.

I don't think so. Evil usually has the best deal, with neutral second best and good a poor last. That may why more people choose to play as evil, because it is so much easier. It's that way in real life as well, so the game is at least keeping with the real world in that respect.
So the the whole freedom crap will eventually only be a state of mind really. Well you can more or less say it already is, but hey who cares.
Freedom is more than a state of mind. It is also a way of life. I understand that you may not approve of our way of life, but that's OK. You stay in your country and enjoy your way of life, and I'll do the same. And we can both fight to preserve our way of life - but I personally draw the line at forcing another co
