" Sometimes you read the forums and it sounds like a walking disaster zone in there of people who are mad or wish it was more like some other game or whatever ." Maybe the reason it sounds like a disaster zone is because people really like the game but they would like their favorite features implemented. I know for my self I'd like to see my favorite features in this game, because without it, to me, it feels like something is missing.<b

I don't know if this one has been mentioned or has been implemented in beta. An option to turn off pop-up window for ships when trying to send a ship outside of it range. Maybe a buzz sound option instead of a pop-up window.

From reading some of the post in here I don't think Stardock are to interested in tactical combat, so would you want someone to do tactical combat if they are not interested in it? Not Me! There is a game on the horizon that is called Horizon, this is a snippet: A fully interactive galaxy allows you to navigate the space between stars and planets. Patrol your borders, and when the need arises defend your territory
Thanks mormegil for your reply. What I'm talking about are the files in this directory C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Gfx\Models are 32bit. If you load one of these 32bit png's into a 24bit paint program it changes the colors, so if all you wanted to do was make some alterations to a 32bit png it won't turn out very nice.
For some reason I can't create a post. It says it is created in "My Posts", but I can't find it anywhere in the Modding thread. I seem to have a lot of problems with GCII forum. So I don't have a choice but to post here. Does anyone know of a free 32 bit art program? The ones I have only save in 24 bit and doesn't work well for ship models in GCII. I've tried downloading and installing a few art programs, but they all turned out to be

More jewelry and hulls always sound great. Carriers sound great. But what I'd really like to see is an option box for turn based battles, similar to the ones in Moo2, where you could target ship components, minus the huge attackers advantage.
Ok, I downloaded the collector's edition stuff but it still does not show up in my game. I'm not sure I understand this collector's edition stuff, is this stuff for only some people, people that own a collector's edition CD, if so that suc.s. Or can anyone get this collector's edition stuff?
I was just woundering where everyone is getting the satellite dish from? It looks like the sensor icon. Dose it come in the beta ver.? Some cool looking ships in this thread.
