Veblen, is practicable when you practically predict something or when you predict somehting practically? Maybe its when something is able to be practical. Good word, fun to say. To the OP, definately start on a smaller map, big maps can be difficult to manage even if when you do have the basics such as colony ship building down. Personally I recomend the dread lords campaign as it will give you a really good intro to most aspects of the gam

Phbbt, you sure about that? what version of the game? I havent paid much attention as of late but I know that the attack applied to all three in both attack and defense as long as I had at least one weapon of any type and one defense of any type. I'll check this again to make sure.

So I'm playing a huge map with 9 active civs and the altarians just offered me 0bc in appreciation for my benevolence. Not a huge deal but kind of funny and I doubt this is supposed to happen. I think what they offer must be a % of their current bc and they only had 70somthing. I'm running beta 3. Well back to my game.

Personally I crank out 1 defender per planet relitively early on. This keeps my military rating up enough to keep the other civs off my back for a bit. Building a galactic wonder such as the Tri-Quan building is one of a kind period, no other races can build it a

Hello, I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I just have bad luck. When starting a random game I almost always have another civ start right next to mine. It doesn't seem to matter what settings I make the map with. Recently I started a Huge map with only 2 other civs, both were right next to mine. This doesn't happen every time but often enough to make me wonder if it is just luck or a bug. Also when I start a random game with a custom ra
