Yeah I had no 'Out of Memory' problems before, but now I do. Can't save except with autosave. My game's running at 2.5 gigs of memory, and it just failed with an autosave as well. I might be stuck at turn 100 lol. -_- Only when I added HD and other mods to Skyrim did I get here w/ memory useage. By the way, I have the world settings at default except a large world with dense monsters. Maybe this is using up lots of resources? &nbsp

I always have this after a character trait triggers mass curse, so the character was able to move (but don't know about whether I can still hit since I never reached the target), but I reasoned that the mass curse counted as an action. Maybe it is, but it's annoying as hell when you have much better/important things to do. [e digicons]-_-[/e]

Although these are mere labels, the Yor are always acting good in their minds when laying waste to lands. The others are all acting good, according to their morality. The choices being labeled as good, neutral, and evil are simply for us simpler folks playing the game, considering genocide of beings to be "evil" while leaving them alone as "good." When the Drengin conquer, they are at the height of their virtue, their supreme good. I don't understa

Yeah, if a civ is too powerful, then others with average or weak militaries won't attack, no matter what I offer.

When all AIs are geniuses or above on their difficulty/intelligence level, oh my they send in forces that have combined all weapons pretty nicely. Typically, Guns: 10, Missle: 6, Laser: 8, and some kind of defenses, earlier in the game. With lots of logistics, they later added more. The only reason I live is by....you guessed it....beefed up military bases. Invading is hard, since they too have their beefed up military bases. And yes, they defend t

I don't know....It seems to depend on my civilization. My custon got along well with Krox and Thalan, and while other races were neutral, I had to take them out, out of spite of course. When as the Yor, everybody hates me generally. Even the evil Drengin and Korx. After a few sandbox matches on the suicidal difficulty, I love to hate every single one of those bastards!! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Cool.gif" border=0

Go at least star republic. Get friendly with a civ or two (hell I allied with the Korx) and support that civ. Best yet find a civ on the verge of defeat, build a military starbase fully loaded with ship support and base attack/defense and give the civ a couple fleets. I had the best time watching other civs get worn down before the weak civ finally capitulated. By then I developed medium hull and harpoons, with appropriate defense per cool/wary/hos

Quick tip, as may have been mentioned above, is to build a military base and cover it and anything else you need to protect in its area of effect with a couple ships or more. Beef up one starbase, or have two or three bases with only some of the basic ship assists. After you have a stranglehold on your core planets, and with some economy bases to boost production, go for an overwhelming number of techs, not that it is at all necessary to research to the end of a tree. Plasma, warp, advanced l

Hmm...if the number representing the population is not really the actual population, then perhaps it's not that the original planet population was killed off, but that the inhabitants refuse to pay up? Well, I never was too convinced about what the population number actually meant (households? tax-paying individuals?), especially when the population of a planet grows from the 100,000 of the initial colony ship to the billions in a few years. As the r

Once the game begins, use the Flagship aka Survey ship for your nearest star systems, and have the colony ship move in its direction, but also tending to veer towards another nearby system, just in case it doesn't have a habitable planet. Grab a decent planet if you find one. So far, very basic. On the domestic stats screen, I usually set my military and research to 50%, and buy everything else for my humble homeworld. I purchase a factory, the

Yeah, depending on what the situation is, custom ships do well in general. Sometimes I'll have a couple military starbases with lots of ship defense assists. Since I won't need to increase my ships' defenses in the area of effect, I would have one tiny hull or small hull design with lots of weapons on it, as well as one decent engine (like impulse mk3) so I have many cheap ships that could defend against practically anything without much cost.
