Never had this issue before, but it must be a problem with certain system configurations.

Others notice this? I just launched all ships in orbit at once, telling them to move this way.

Starbase request and criticism: If only military starbases could move, then they'd be awesome command/repair centers. They become obsolete just after the military objective is obtained for that region. Also, if only their effective range scales with map size. Too much coverage on tiny maps, and practically useless (except tricking AI about our military power in GC2) in massive galaxy maps.
The only useless types of starbases, for now, are the influence and mining bases (only if you don't use/need the resource). The economy and military bases are quite useful. Military bases are a good way to establish a beach head of sorts when beginning an offensive and holding off the hordes of fleet the NPCs get to build due to their difficulty bonus.
Well, the old way of doing it for GalCiv2 doesn't work, but since it's running through/with Steam, just press F12, and it'll be added to your Steam folder's SS. You can access it via steam, and get to the folder itself through this Steam screenshot window.
I just designed my first multi-con mod ship, but conquered everybody before it was built. I'll test this too.
I think flymar knows about the logistics point. He's reporting that he can't stack them even when he's got enough points to stack the ships. I haven't had this issue (yet?) but I also experienced free ship upgrades. I got my battle fleets upgraded without any cost, and in the same turn also bought a planet structure (solar plant maybe?), and the cost was deducted normally. So strange. Not sure how to report this kind of bug so devs can recreate

Ignore would be better....it's pretty neat to be able to build a bit closer to the front line so new ships can save a turn of travel.
I suppose it could include something about them being useful for building ships and stuff.
I just finish my production asap and then focus on 'Economic Stimulus.' My problem is that this build option is like an 'I WIN' button because my approval goes sky-high once I hit it, along with those other +50% bonus. So, I just squeeze the population of work for a bit, then get econ stim going, and everything's all good. Might eventually write about it for a nerf or balancing.
I agree. Also, the planet names on the list could get smaller, or at least not have the large border/box that does nothing helpful except take up space. I suggest adding an option to drop a planet from sponsorship from that planet's Govern screen. Eventually, when there's a Colony list screen up, being able to see sponsorship and reassign them via that screen would be great!
Kept the image small, but anyways, wth. Ashwake Dragon to the west, Escaped Juggie right next to capital/initial city. Played on large map, Hard everything, with max spawns of everything except moderate/default monster density. Zerging neighbors, after a noobish delay, and now I don't even feel like taking this ci
Dunno about having few metropolises, since on the hardest difficulty, enemies eventually zerg you to death. I prefer having tons of towns, constantly building or training something. I need those troops to counter the rest of the AIs. Plus, I like those captured towns as forward bases. Granted, steamrolling's too easy. Once half the huge continent's under control, game's practically over, regardless of the number of enemies left.
I play on the ridiculous difficulty all the time now, and always begin with one city founded by the sovereign, and another town nearby on whatever 3/3 food/material or better tiles. Spawn a couple militias, then storm the nearest NPC towns. I generally keep conquering until two or three enemies are gone, and thus I end up with at least 5 towns, with a nice bonus of 4 towers of dominions (1 mine, 3 from NPC towns). Keep exploring some more, grab more shards, size up enemies,
I did enjoy the Gal Civ II: Twilight of the Arnor's much more unique tech trees for each specie, but personally even when I play a map with all AI at 'ridiculous' level, with dense monster spawns and a large map, it's still extremely easy, due to the following: 1) Overwhelmingly powerful champion weapons, as stated above. At late game, if I let it get there, enemies' armor's high enough to reduce my damage, but otherwise a good find allows a blitzing of n
Try change the monsters numbers to dense. It makes a much more interesting game, as you will have to fight the wild for expansion instead of crushing easy AI targets. I love it
I always have monsters set to be dense, with other parameters set to the middle option. Monsters are awesome sources of even more epic powers to my champions, and I love the exp gained as well. I even feel the monsters help boost me greatly.
I don't know what others' experience is, but blitzing other nearby factions constantly, from early to end game, makes any difficulty feel just the same, regardless of map size. Enemies may build tons armies, but they are weak against my 'charge' + 'initiative' boosted cavalry (horse/warg), regardless of champions or drakes/dragons on my side. I just blitz them all with my units with the charge talent and initiative. Nothing could stop me rolling them
out of mem only 3 times? damn I'm envious :P
Post the save and debug ;)
ya know, you oughta describe how to recreate it.
More crashes, when bonus tile's selected, whether I have the tech's irrelevant. So is whether it's under zone of influence. Very often now, the game crashes from such selection. In this save, game crashes after casting 'wither' on enemy nearby my sovereign (to the east of map), then selecting the tile underneath him. I usually go through several actions beforehand, though. <a href="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/64894008/Aut
Avoiding saving and loading's kinda scarely lol. Never know when game'll crash after 100 turns of no saves
It was at the end of the turn, so I took some actions: killed targets for quest near Imperium, cast Wither on scrap golem army south of my visible map, and moved an army of Tuun Mafaru towards Ventraken. Then crashed on selecting 'wild games' lol.
