Today i received the CDROM of DA but somwhere along the great Postal Universe the Disc got crushed....Can I get another UnCrushed??? How??? Who do I contact?? Not a life or death situation but just be nice to have a usable copy..

I get the herky jerky thing too but only when im playing Gigantic map... My video card is a bit older ati 9600 pro 256 . . so i'm just blamin it on that. Outside of that and it sometimes plays video catch up game is runnin great...

My 1st encounter with C&C was Generals... Love it...its actually what led me to GC2. Thanks to a kid i know i've since aquired the entire C&C collection. But.....I liked TA and Starcraft even more..DA is set to release not soon enough. I'll end up buying both but most likely will spend more time on SC than even DA

Ok with Stardock holding us in suspense as to when PREorders can start getting DA. My attention span is limited and i've already bored myself of the DA Beta. Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar will be released on February 14th. It is an on-line only release (i.e. you can only get it on its own here -- CD or digital download). Users who pre-order it will be able to start getting it early (how early we can't say yet). This was part of an earlier anouncement on 1-17.....So when do we preorder folks get it????
I have only used MS's BS because its really all thats there. Linux and Macs have been given NO support or crossover from the software companies INCLUDING the gaming community. So until some little guy develops whats existing or creates a product and can compete with MSBS we're stuck.. And as long as we all keep stuffin our money in MSBS's pockets instead of the little guy there's no chance of forcing SOFTware companies to extend their platforms.....

I'm kinda gettin tired of gettin wiped out too with the pirate thing. Personally I think the pirates should only be slightly stronger than the civ with the best military. This being progressive as the game goes on. To just suddenly have them with weapons that are research wise too far away to defeat is no fun.. I've gotten to the point where I just start the game over. It's an unfair advantage. And unrealistic... Please fix

Wouldnt a viable solution to all this be to make Military Starbases a so called immovable Carrier- docking station etc??? no ability to build but repair, starport, upgrades etc??? Keep them the same just add the ability to dock ships up to a limit.. Would add another element to the game I think trying to defend these in enemy territory and defend against. Of course ships would still have to travel to the starbase, adds a strategic element of getting them there

Personally I can't wait for the final release. Not much of a Beta tester so to speak. So I'll leave all that to you "experts". Ya'll did (doing) great job with GC2 so my pennyless 2 cents i'll again file 13...lol Excellent game. One of the best Forums gamewise I've ever come across...Kudos!!!
I installed 1.3beta and noticed whenever I create a fleet they show up as a gray icon instead of the ship in the lower control panel...
