So after playing the demo a bit I think the game, at least initially, comes off as a dumbed down version of a smart strategy game. As well the quests feel arbitrary. And from what i'm hearing about faction limit, i'm very disappointed. I was very excited about the game, but once I tried it...not so much. Not sure if i'll be buying it or not.

So after playing the demo i'm definitely going to buy the game, anyone know the place to get the best deal for it? I mean i'm going to search online, but are there some places gives you more DLC than other places? (I can't post to the CK2 forums to ask without having a registered game, grrr)
This guy is very good. You essentially play the game and discover new things and strategies with him, like looking over his shoulder and listening to him think out loud. He's definitely no beginner and you find yourself asking the same questions that he has just asked himself. I've played the demo and followed his tutorials and "let's play" series with great interest. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/TekkorGJC[/quote
Why wouldn't you want to register? Half the fun of the P'Dox forums is seeing how many shiny icons you can accumulate
Because I haven't bought the game yet, not convinced i'd buy it. As I said above, i'm trying out the demo.
You can search their forum for guide. There are alot of good ones. Can't say I remember any of them though.
Sadly those guides are in the FAQ forum and you have to have bought and registered the game.
So it seems I actually have to buy Crusader Kings II and register it to participate in the forums at paradox. : / Thus I'm asking here, does anyone know of any guides for people who are very new to crusader kings and feeling very overwhelmed? Any suggestions?(I'm currently trying out the demo as Poland.)

So I had tried disconnecting the cord from the CPU, but not the monitor. Once I unplugged and then replugged the cord into the monitor everything was fine. Ta da! So simple...
Before I try a system restore I'd like to try something else first, I have a slight update to the problem. Slight update, no solution: Exploring my monitor's company's(ASUS) website I am told the proper resolution for my monitor is 1600 x 900, and I'm fairly sure this is what it was before. However, today it decided to run at 1440 x 900 and if I try to change the resolution I am told on the monitor screen that this is "out of range". The companies forums
Are there drivers available for your display? Go to the manufacturers website for the monitor you are using and see if there are drivers for it, or if drivers came with your monitor, as did my Acer, reinstall them. You might also try disconnecting and reconnecting the monitor.
I was fairly sure my monitor did not come with software, but I double checked the website. It did not. However, according to them my monitor'
My computer information: Intel Core i5 CPU 750 2.67ghz x4 8 gigs ram Windows 7 64 bit ATI Radeon HD 4600 series(graphics card) So I'm not sure what exactly is going on. I tried playing Civ 5 today and the graphics were a bit off. SWTOR's graphics were also off. Plus my desktop display is slightly bigger than it should be. Text seems a bit off in various things as well. And videos viewed on netflix are less clear. This happened today. I haven't downlo

No mention of increasing the variety of quests available?
Diky za obsirnu odpoved. I already bought it on Steam, dowloading just now. Not very happy with your review, i bought this simply because i quite liked Max Payne and its atmosphere, it was alongside Homeworlds the only game i ever finished. The early comparisons to Twin Peaks were intriguing and huge plus, but i suppose the resemblance starts and ends with the environment, perhaps music. I suspect, eventually i wil
So i'm starting to not want to play SWTOR anymore. The missions are so repetitive. The pvp feels very unepic(not a word I know). And I can never find people to do FPs. And I haven't had sgueuccess in finding a guild that is mature and won't tolerate derogatory language in chat that is of decent size and fairly active. Le sigh.Just venting. Anyone else hitting this wall?
Yeah, Empire and Empire Deluxe. You can still get it here: http://www.killerbeesoftware.com/kbsgames/edee/ Also, Battlefront came out with a remake of sorts (Empires of Steel): http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&a
I believe Steel Empire http://hol.abime.net/2116 It had a D&D flavored sequel Fantasy Empire: http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/825/Fantasy+Empires.html
No it wasn't steel empire. It was Just Empire.
That was the one that was heavily influenced by Twin Peaks right? If so I definitely will be buying it.
Anyone remember a game called, I think, Empire from about...24 years ago? Computer game. Take over cities. Build tanks. Fight. Very simple.
I like the imbue mechanic, but not the maintenance cost. In my experience with WoM and FE I end up rarely using enchantments or summons due to their upkeep. All my mana gets cast during battles. I rarely ever had a lot to spare on enchantments. I'd like to see more sources of mana available.
seconding this observation.
