Still having this problem too.
quoting post Not big changes, but minor tweaks: A way to reload without exiting the game first. I'm almost positive that will be in the final version. IIRC, that was done only for beta testing to minimize out of memory crashes. An explanation as to why you apparently can't talk to some NPC's (the dialogue balloon is crossed out). <br /
Nothing specific happened. Was just moving and game froze. Could not exit, had to do a hard restart. As well the game is running a lot slower in the latest beta-3a. After playing a bit and exiting my entire computer runs slower and I have to restart. This costs essence. You can only build cities on land of your alignment, yet if the land already is your alignment you have no need for the Revive Land spell. The kingdoms have the green grass and the fall the black brimstone. Everything else (swamps, deserts, barrens) are all wasted l
Isn't the graphic in the Beta version is the style that they will be choose for the final version? If you don't like the current graphic, why? And AFAIK, the developer choose this graphic style for a reason. There's an explanation about the style in Developer Journal section.
No, I remember reading that they were using less detailed graphics because it was beta. Maybe I was wrong?
Could someone explain exactly how Revive Land works?
I was unable to create a farm on fertile land. Picture: http://s1032.photobucket.com/albums/a406/thebossinthewall/?action=view¤t=fertileland.jpg I also recieved an error message upon exiting. Picture: http://s1032.photobucket.com/albums/a40
same thing happened to me.
Mine summoned a solider and had what looked like a stone golem, albeit a short skinny one. (Different from the one you posted)
From Beta 3 to Beta 3A it seems that moving the mouse pointer to the edge the screen to scoll gives you a half a second before the scrolling actually happens. Irrirating. Is there something to change this in options? I see scroll speed, but not a scroll delay. As well it seems I still have to turn off anti-alliasing and advanced lighting to have all the graphics work. thirded.
Could a dev post a comparison of some pictures in game from a beta version and the final version since the graphics in the final will be much better than what we're suing in beta. I'm very curious to see it so pictures of the same scene comparing beta and final would be swell.
Were custom races taken out? I can't seem to to find the button to create them.
awesome. and word on not being able to load saved games?
did you try geting the settler OUT of the stack, then try creating the city. it could be related to the stack bugs that are claimed to be fixed in 3a harpo
Didn't know of that. I'll try it when the new beta comes out. Danke.
The revival land thing was changed, you don't need to do it anymore. Essence is (or was) spent to do something like create a fertile land farming plot. Caravans do create roads, and they do provide trate route income as the caravans move back and forth. I'm not sure about the unit movement speed. Lumber mills provide materials at a much higher rate. Used to be able to build them on any forest

It is like saying "That ape was sure manlike." then complaining that the sentence is discriminating. I'm not trying to speak for everyone, but who gives? When they start giving the women worse stats we might start shouting unfairness. Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me... <br

First. I created an outpost on land I had not revived with my sovereign, however the land under it was green when I checked back later(i had forgotten to revive the land before creating the outpost). Why was it revived?(Yellowish to green) Second. How do you upgrade a current unit into another? Like taking a peasant and upgrading him to an unarmoured swordsman I designed? Third. When a caravn goes from one city to the next it creates a road. Does the road provide faster movemen
It seems far too much to require a solider with leather head, chest, leg armor, short sword, and solider's cloak to require 71 materials and 54 gold. Buildings cost much less than that. How about a game mechanic where its just 10 for each? We're not talking steel armoured knights on heavy war horses right? :)
I attempted to create a new outpost, but the button was faded out and hovering the mouse over the button brought up the message that my "settler" was too close to another city. However there was not a city near by. Picture(still can't seem to get the link code to show the picture in the post): http://s1032.photobucket.com/albums/a406/thebossinthewall/?action=view&c
The construction graphic for the fire temple on top of the fire crystal stays even after the fire temple has been built: (still can't seem to get the link code to show the picture in the post) http://s1032.photobucket.com/albums/a406/thebossinthewall/?action=view¤t=firecrystal.jpg
