Game hangs.. more specifically I see the art pan towards the city in the mountains and then stay there indefinately. No crash results from this. I have to manually force a shutdown via the task manager. However.. trying again often gets the game to load.
Yes, same except the game doesn't load. Alas.

i noticed this too.
Happens to me sometimes. Might be 'cause the server's overloaded? Goes away after 10-30 minutes.
I've had this happen to me several times, but I got an error while trying to load. All these errors generated a .zip file with a dump inside, did you check your folders to see if you have this? Do you just hang while loading a save? Does it crash? I think you need to give a bit more detail in order to understand your problem.
Oh I've already posted about my problem with a .zip file and such. Just wondering how many other peopl
With Beta 3A I was unable to load a single saved game. With 3B i've only succesfully loaded one. Anyone else in the same experiencing this?
Running slow can be a sign of memory leaks, especially if you hear lots of disk activity. Program bugs cause it to misplace memory, so it uses disk instead, slooooowly. I think it is pretty normal for Elemental to leave your computer slow for a while after it exits. Only about a minute with me, but my comp is a bit faster and has 3x more memory. Not sure if that is also because of a memory leak or something else, but

Same problem, though if I try to load the game I saved E:WoM crashes. Windows XP Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.2 GHz Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX Sound card: Creative SB X-Fi 1 GB Ram 189 GB hard drive

Were you not able to attack? The units in battle, what were they're attack/defense/hitpoints?
I wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing what I am. I'm playing Beta 3B and things still run a little bit slow for me, but for the most part are ok. Beta 3A was much worse in speed like it was for a lot of you. However in Beta 3B if I start a tactical combat the combat runs VERY VERY VERY slowly. And coming out of it so does the game. Or the combat will run fast, then coming back to the game the game runs increadibly slow. Upon exiting the game it takes on average 2 minutes&n

Update #3: Tried to load the quick save again, but it seems its repeatable that at least this particular quicksave will crash the game. Quicksave: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8971392/QuickSave.EleSav Let me know if all this info is too much for one post.
In my one and only successful tactical combat the AI acted dimly. I had my familiar, a bear, and myself. The opponent was a lone named character. I assume like a single bandit. Anyway, he completely ignored my bear and familiar and kept trying to walk around them to, i assume, get to my sovereign. So they just blocked him and whacked him without being attacked. Is this intended?
Also if a dev or someone knowledgable, are my comp speccs too low for this game? I close almost everything running on my comp when I attempt to play so there's not a lot of the CPU being used. I go through my programs int he task manager and none are saying they're taking up more than 8-10%. Most are 1-3%
Update: I was able to load the quick save I did before the battle. The tactical combat ran smoothly. However, when I came out of combat the game was running increadibly slow. Went to the main screen(new game, load, continue, etc.) and back to the game. This did not help. I quick saved again and attempted to load the game and had the same CTD as above, but this time the game did CTD and close.
Sorry, WAD = working as designed. The delay is unrelated to the scroll speed, and it has its own option in 3B that you can set separately.
Yes, thanks much. Its a lot better.
Well, we're out. We hope you like this build.
ach its working better. Faster, though still some various delays and tactical became so slow. alas. But still, much improved.
Lucky. I tried one and the game slowed down so bad my one and only turn took a total of 8 minutes or so(this includes loading tactical combat and unloading it. maybe more than 8 minutes).
So I tried tactical. It loaded slowly and just become more and more slow as it went on. Luckily it was a first turn win, but it took at least a minute for the enemy to fall down dead. The loading and then back to the game took maybe...8? minutes. I have advanced lighting turned off, though that is all. I attempted to load a save game to see if that would change things, but the game sat there and then I heard the error message beep, but the game would not alt-tab or crash to the desktop even.
The new beta is out. Unless it is becomes slower and slower as the game goes on and save games are unable to load I'd like you all to know I shall be ordering delivery(food), doing leg stretches, back stretches, blocking out the day, and descending into E:WoM maddness. I wonder if I'll be able to come back up. [e digicons]:smitten:[/e]
I started a game, but before doing anything I went to the options screen. I alt-tabbed then came back to the game. I clicked back to game and the game just displayed the background to the opening screen of the game(new game, load game, etc.) and I was unable to go back to the game I had started.
The scroll delay is WAD. I added an option for it, to range between 0 and 1.0 seconds.
With the speed at 400 it still has a delay. The scroll waits maybe .3 seconds then scrolls and does it too fast. At zero it doesn't move. I think most of us would like no delay, for it to move smoothly not a pause.
