First, I'm sorry if that's not the right forum to post that to but I'm kind of lost with all the subforums and everything for such a subject and since the games I bought were galciv2 expansions ... Back on subject, as the title says, my invoice is written in Euro everywhere though when checking out with my bank, I'm billed in USD... It's not a big problem in itself, but it's strange since the invoice was fully written in Euro I thought I would be billed in Euro.<br

well there's only a handful of techs which are specific and CAN be traded by default if one really wants it's quite easy to mod them as untradable [e digicons]^_^[/e]
tech brokering is an option that prevent (or allows) those who have not actively researched the tech to trade it aka : race A research a tech trade it to B, B can or can't trade it to C this is nice since it prevents the player to abuse tech trading by buying and reselling to others for a net profit, and also at the same time it prevents the computer from trading a tech you have given them between themselves if you want to help a particular ra
1. In the basic concept it's like civilization 2, turn based strategy game with automatic resolution of combats 2. The graphics are nice but it's not oblivion either LOL 3. well why don't you just try out the demo available here : https://www.galciv2.com/Downloads.aspx if you like it just buy the ultimate bundle, if not ... don't buy any[e digicons]^_^[/e] (one word of warning though, the demo might not have all the latest additions & corrections from update and s
1. Not at all + I never ever saw the computer use any ship you give him, perhaps after a lot of turns but I doubt it 2. by wonder I guess you're talking about galactic achievements, in general they tend to but that's not the case everytime Tir Quan Training boost all your civilization soldiering but "Omega Research Center" only boost the planet's research 3. yes
technically nothing prevents you from it but since you're two persons living at two different places...
you can also update the game on the computer with internet then archive the games and copy the archives + impulse over to the second computer to get the updates
yup finish the current mission before updating is probably the best you can do patching in the middle of a game can cause problems ... or not ...

I mean ... you got to use the products you bought for several month before this package is out ... It's not like it's a complete rip off, isn't it ? Also all games become cheaper and cheaper with time .... (except the sims license which don't change in price until the next generat
Trade modules on ships are for building freighters which themselves are for establishing trade routes with other races see the trade tutorial from the main menu for more details. To get a starbase trade module on a starbase you need to build a constructor ship which you will then deploy as an economic starbase, then with other constructors you add new starbase modules and among them since it's an economic starbase there should be the trade module, if you got the tech for it. Again I'l
you can download and archive the game, then transfer the archive and reinstall the game
the population is also limited by PQ

I ran into some issue recently Since I'm not satisfied with the number of habitable planets (yeah I don't find the number of planets in immense galaxies that overwhelming as it should be for my tastes), I thought about trying out to build a map, well the TA map editor works but to put hundreds of planet by hand is quite hard, more so since I would have to generate manually hundreds of random numbers for PQ & such.... [e digicons]:\[/e] so I got to downloading a map (which
Thanks for the tip. If only we could set a user pref to make this a default.
but, but ... the new smileys are so cute [e digicons]:smitten:[/e]
You can play the DL campaign in DA and benefit from the spy and other changes that's all there is to it really. You can't play DL or DA campaign in TA (at least right off the bat). I don't know about 2.0
class 45 [e digicons]o_O[/e] I think I'm going to wet myself on the spot ... I want such an event !!!! oups [e digicons][/e] [e digicons]^_^[/e] Now back to the subject it's probably best as an economic planet, don't make too much morale buildings....There's no point going high in pop as always unless you want the planet to be very resistant to surprise invasion so 1 farm should be plenty enough then stock it with stock markets leaving a few spots for
you can also use the planetsview sidebar to quickly change production
well the campaign is ... if you like or want to know the story behind the dread lords and such ... the main part of the game is the "simple" standard game anyway. The campaign is just a succession of standard games with preset maps, settings and objectives and a story to unfold ... that's all there is to it Personnaly I never played the campaign of DL in the whole time I had it, and when I bought DA and TA (recently) I just cheated my way through DL & DA cam
diplo is the easiest way to win most powerful trait probably so since war profitering is based on diplo and since you also had the altarians use their superability for your profit ... in my current game with drath tech tree and 1% war profitering and 1 war (as far as I know, the galaxy is immense ...) I get 150bc/week which is about 10% of my turnover ... on the other hand if it stops too soon I will have lost money since I launched the war but without war profiteering
don't know what to suggest except buying a new graphic card ... the good news, a cheap graphic card should be enough for galciv2 needs (probably around 50$, for sure below 100$) the bad news, I don't know exactly which kind of model to recommend in this case, so I prefer to hold off Ho and did you try out the different checkboxes in the video settings ? there's quite a lot out there...
Well I have to agree with those who said that galciv2 was quite buggy on release Though I wouldn't be as quick to judge. After all, galciv was an outsider and support in the following years has been quite amazing to say the least. So in the end there's far far worse on the bug side. There's also far better but often it's not at all the same budget... (even if budget doesn't fix bugs all by itself ...) @DrSpock 15 years ago there was <span style="text-decoratio
nice strategy post but people might want to precise with what expansion they are playing because for example I was checking out the farms on wiki and they got quite nerfed in TA, you can still use the 1 farm per planet but for that you need the farm techs (if you want to get around 16b pop that is)
Well I like to offset the problematic abilities myself (that doesn't mean it's a good strategy though [e digicons];)[/e] ). As for the drath for example I like to make a custom Drath with exactly the same things everywhere except I add in my custom abilities after that and update the description to something like the "Dreth" (for example) is an offshoot of the drath, which is smaller since size isn't anymore an advantage in the whole technological environment they live in. An insteresting s
