Anyone has to realize that the Dota playerbase would hardly make any game a commercial success. Considering we have a post on the frontpage of these forums asking for a "beginners guide" is kinda telling, no ? ;) Demigod is a quite bold experiment and in this time of sequels and 08/15 egoshooters it deserves merit for that alone. I can't tell you wether Demigod will be a success or not, only time will tell. What i can tel

What worked for me is Email Adress (as username) and my old stardock central password (prolly same as impulse?) lol.

Still unable to connect to games. Getting kinda worried ... seeing release getting closer and closer. Sure would suck ending up with a Multiplayer game where one can't play multiplayer LOL. Just curious... did you test your netcode with international/transatlantic connections at all ? None of my friends over here in Germany can connect to games (not even when we try to set up 1v1) and i saw a post here earlier with someone from the

It is definitely all bots in Pantheon for me. My guess is that the broken network code (wich doesn't allow me to join any custom games either) is the culprit. It propably starts the game, realizes it can't connect to any players... and replaces all of them with AI. It's back to waiting for the next patch i guess.
I'm beginning to have the suspicion that the new system was not made with people outside the US in mind... Unable to connect to a single game from Germany either, not even to a friends game who lives in the same town. In the past, tweaking my router settings allowed me to play any game i wanted to o
Maybe. It's still a hope, though. I pre-ordered based on the strength of the Stardock name and their previous performance(Yes, you say it's another person's baby, but they've put their name all over it). So in a very real sense I'm stuck with it, since they've taken the money, and I get to help playtest a game that doesn't actually interest me with what I've seen of it. Didn't enjoy DOTA when I played tha

It certainly is a Multiplayer focused title so i wouldn't be surprised if singleplayer will be kind of an afterthought. Kinda like in the Unreal Tournament titles. Nothing wrong with that... just don't get your expectations up for a "superduper" singleplayer campaign when it's pretty obvious that the game is going into a different direction. In Supreme Commander (Gaspowered last game) singleplayer was pretty much just an "extended tutorial" with little point and s
The rankings don't work. According to the website I am on a 30+ game losing streak.
Ah yeah noticed that too. Won all my Pantheon games (ingame) but the rankings say i lost all and list a total playtime of 0 minutes. But it's not just the rankings (which wouldn t be an issue) but the Pantheon in general. Are there people who can actually play Pantheon games with other people yet ? Or is the w

I've been playing Pantheon a couple of times and every single time i was the top player. Does the matchmaking fill slots with AI if there are not enough players ? (Some names were suspicious in that regard). Or did we simply get a horde of new players with the newest Beta ? Seriously wondering since the people i played with didn t seem very talkative either. It also shows Ping = 0 for all players, even when they have names that reveal that it can not be an AI (
Trueskill was complete fail in the DoW2 beta. In theory it would work with a large mass of players in it though.
Heh DoW2Beta... don't remind me... had to love all these matchups with 3 players levels 15+ on one side and 3 poor noobs at lvl 1-3 on the other LOL.

The problem is also... you would have to build them in every system, not just one. If you only heavily fortify one system then an attacking fleet can simply bypass that with minimal losses and ravage all your undefended systems instead.

Not having a campaign is a concious decision, wich is perfectly viable. Sometimes it's better than having one. As much as i love Supreme Commander (especially in Multiplayer) for example, the campaign was just a quickly slapped together piece of junk. The game would have been better off without it lol. But that doesn't make Supcom a bad game. And not having a campaign certainly does not make Sins a bad game either. The contrary, it's absolutely awesome.<br/

Oh you can play a huge map in under an hour just fine. How ? Simple: 1. Select a huge map, personally i would recommend Grindstone, it's perfect for the purpose of playing a fast game. 2. Put all the 7 AI players on hard. 3. Put all the 7 AI players on the same team. 4. Start game and enjoy your "fastest" game of Sins ever! If you aren't finished in under an hour, you are good. /snickers ;-) P.S. on a more serious note: Game duration per planet dec
