I've had this issue for a very long time with the game but having regained interest in it, I find myself wanting to finally fix this strange issue. I have the game and all 3 expansions but I play Arnor more than the others and I notice, seemingly with each race, that at least 1 hull of every hull type is a weird blotchy mess that's impossible to use. I'd really like to be able to use these additional models with the game to add some more flavor and spice to it. Here's a sc

Hi there, I've been distracted with school for awhile now and thus haven't had the time to reinstall Gal Civ II on my computer until now. Now that I have more space for it. I have a rather curious issue. Basically, according to my Stardock Central account, I have the game (and expansion packs) installed twice. Upon closer inspection of both installs, they are both installed in the same folder. Yet when I view this folder, there is no duplicate files. The pic below confirm

Yes, I was being sarcastic. The day I spend $10 to ship something that could be sent in an envelop for less than half a dollar is they day I trade all of my vital organs for a Ferrari I won't get to enjoy.

It seems that while I was waiting for this post to show up, someone already sort of replied to a similar question some ways down the forum. I guess I just want to confirm if it is purchasable only on the site then before shelling out the $40 xP

Hi there, I've been a fan of the series since the original game came out in 06. Purchased DA after it came out and have been itching for TotA since it's intended release in December. Now, I do realize I can download/purchase the game off the site, but here's the problem I am having. 1) I like to have a hard copy. a) I don't want to pay $10 shipping :) 2) It is advertised on the site that Circuit City, Best Buy, Gamestop, and EBgames carry th

Actually, I just work mandatory 12 hour days and my week has been sleep and work with maybe one meal a day. I was going to ask why I am able to download the beta 6 version if I don't have a valid code. It confused me, I just figured the beta 6 was for those who don't have a valid code, because it still seems a bit broken to me.

Ah yes, I have updated to beta 6 before reading this and the problem is solved, but I notice one thing that isn't solved. The third design for cargo, small, and tiny hulls are corrupted and nonfunctional for me still even in beta 6. Glad to know my card isn't funked, I figured it wasn't though Also, if I DID swing for the crazy $20 license would I be able to download more than th

I've seen a few posts regarding the weird "spiked" ship and space station graphics in game. I have yet to see a solution (and am waiting for a respond via tech support on memorial weekend, not good). I currently run 2 gigs of ram on a Sempron 3100+ processor with a MSI 6600 graphics card, though I do only have 3.66 gigs left on the hard drive. Gal Civ II ran flawlessly, in case you were curious. My version of Dark Avatar is the 1.6 beta 4 version because Stardock Central upda

I want to start by saying that I am very disappointed that Stardock, unlike the inferior (in every other way) Steam, charges $20 to update your license for a used copy of the game. This is a rather cheap way to reap more money off loyal fans and actually something I'd expect Steam to do. What gives? Secondly, for some reason Stardock Central updated my copy of Dark Avatar to the latest despite not accepting my registration. I am curious as to why that is, though I am not comp
