I was also in the middle of playing Medieval2-TW. I am now consumed with Dark Avatar and loving it. The familiar GC-II DL is still there but sometimes it feels like a whole new game.
I have twin 7800 GTX and DL AND DA runes just great and always has.... Besides the timing problems solved by the AMD CPU driver. CougarDK...you are running in SLI mode?(are you sure?) Which rendering method? Which drivers? Also, do you use Anti-Aliasing? If you don't mind, can you check all your settings and post them here? It might help me sort it out. Thanks
Yeah the AI should treat them as troopships as they have the same effect on the defender (loss of colony).
Hello, I wondered whether the AI was calculating while I play my turn. Chess programs, for instance, calculate while you are thinking ; they store their results and use it when it's their turn to play, thus considerably increasing their strength. Given that a single midgame Galciv turn may last pretty long (especially when there is combat involved), the AI engines would (or maybe already do) highly benefit from it. A consequence of this : the fewer AI pla
Yeah you should be fine. Turn up the CPU cycles!
Yes. Would help a lot, thanks!
I dont think it matters. Just install DA and THEN check SDC for updates.
I'm playing as Thalans and it's pretty good so far.
What happens when starting a new game and configuring the other races (aggressiveness, abilities, etc)if you don't change any settings? In other words, If I'm plying against the Terrans, and I leave their ABILITIES tab yellow (unchanged), do they get NO abilities? or do abilities get selected for them during galaxy creation?
(Citizen)dystopicFebruary 8, 2007 11:22:34Reply # i just got DA, and i've bene damn busy and unable to play it. WORSE THING EVER!!! that aside, i can describe the tactic i've used in DL, and since this part the the game doesn't seem to've changed, it may be valid. what's 100% approval good for? nothing, really, at least not unless you're being culturally dominated or trying to grow a population quickly. but there's the
It's very deep compared too DL. I'm loving it.
I second turning off tech trading at least to "tough". I'd rather be slightly behind and have to out-fight/ out-diplo my way to victory. At least that was before DA with all AI algorithims turned up
Thanks guys!
Is any =body successfully using SLI mode with DL-DA? Or is it known to be a no go?
1) When I build a mine on an asteroid, how do I upgrade the mine?...just research or send another ship a la resourcees? 2) When setting up a sandbox game, if I don't change the AI aggressivness do they all stay at 50% or are they randomly chosen. In other words, in DL we had no such slider so were they all at "50%" or did say, the Drengin have higher agg ratings? 3) (opinion) I like the limited trading rules in DA. In DL, I used "no tech trading" because I hated that mid-late
Yes, thanks to stardock for the early download! It's great to have so many perks for pre-ordering. You've made me want nothing less than to do it again . Yep. Way to go Stardock.
Mine downloaded in about 1 minute and is now running flawlessly! Weeeeee!
Try playing above BRIGHT.
Learn to end a sentence.
I use 1920x1200 for both desktop and GCII and it works fine.
How do you run in single GPU mode? You just turn off SLI mode in the ADVANCED display properties.
SIMPLE ANSWER: if you dont like violent games, go get Tetris and enjoy. I hate when parents, who don't have the time to raise their own kids, try to ban games and other media for the rest of us ADULTS.
Well now. In GTA-SAn Andreas there's nothing quite like going to the ol' golf course and practicing a little putting with a Katana. ...and by putting I mean beheading other golfers "Fooooooore!" Swish! gush gush gush (ooooo! and he dropped some money, too!)
