AGAIN....GC-II will NEVER have MP (according to the DEVS). So why continue to argue it. GC-II will NEVER have MP. Do we have to say it again?
Skyjack
Would it? For all we know, Torians emerge fully grown from pods after a two-week gestation. BAH! Everyone knows it's 3 weeks, come on!
I hope the Mass Drivers mounted on ships and starbases will be changed to look more like projectile weapons... instead of slow, floaty blobs that actually slow down before they hit the target! HINT to devs: think modern day firearms as a good example for a mass driver.
um... actualy no... only helps out ships. Starbases ARE ships in the game.
I like the gc-II sandbox games the most. I hope GC-III's multiplayer doesn't take away from it's single-player sandbox playability.
Look in My Documents folder.
Sorry if this has already been brought up, but I haven't seen it lately. Most discussion of United Planets tends to be about how useless it is or what happens if you leave it. My idea would be to allow more flexibility than simply being a member of UP or not. It would make it so that you could go against a UP law but not necessarily be kicked out. Now, I actually li
How about SOME references to the race you are playing?? Whethter I'm playing as the Yor, Humans, or Drengin the games "feels" exactly the same. There is very little reference to who you are suppossed to be. Instead of the race logo in the corner of some screens maybe the race PORTRAIT instead? This is a big oversight IMO.
And AGAIN. CG-II will NEVER have MP. GC-III probably will though.
exteranation say what?
Um trade is horrible on larger maps. PERIOD. (unless something has changed in 1.3) Really? I'm currently on a GIGANTIC map with trade maxed and my TRADE income alone is 1100-2900, depending on the week. Trade is BETTER on larger maps because the longer the trade route, the more money it makes. Gotta love "bashers" who don't kno
This should be a thread for things you want to see in the main game, rather than in the expansion. I can think of two things off the top of my head. 1. Being able to upgrade a ship while it's sitting on a planet. 2. Being able to buy buildings and ships directly from the Civilization Manager screen. Wouldn't take much, just an icon with a tooltip that'
Finding one on your home planet is always good for a smile Not that you can use it immediately as it would bankrupt you early on... Never had a problem.
Sometimes on gigantic you will get none. Usually you will though.
Yeah, this feature should be addressed in DA. I hate some of the colors because they are hard to see. Others are too close to other civs' colors, etc.
Um, in the girlie department?
And that's why I've given up on multiplayer for GC2. Please put multiplayer in GC3! WRONG. We have given up on it because Frogboy said there will BE NO MULTIPLAYER for GC II. GC III is something they are definately looking at doing.
sell it or use it as a "transport blocker" for one of your colonies.
Good is also stupid but who's checking?
I think this is W.A.D.
I use gigantic and beleive it or not, I would like even bigger. My machine has no problem with gigantic, 9 races, etc.
1) "Sensor I" gives you the Survey Module. Get it ASAP and build 3-4 survey ships and set them on "auto-survey". 2)Upgrade it when you get Medium Hulls.
Unless you're prepared to fight half the galaxy, it's best to avoid inter-alignment wars because they tend to snowball quickly. Exactly. However these "cascade" alliance wars can work to your advantage sometimes. If you sense a powerful civ will atack you, try to ally with as many other civs as you can. You can always break alliances l
Personally, Starting in a corner is easier to me. My back is protected and trade routes tend to be long and profitable.
