I was thinking maybe turning off "autojoin"? Thanks

Hi, folks. Playing Single player as Advent. So I have 3 maxed out fleets almost equal power. Each fleet is really 2 fleets: Frontline melee and long range. I realize it's time to attack an enemy fleet before they slip away. My 3 fleets converge at the enemy planet and well, my fleets win. After the battle I notice my fleets are all screwey, with one fleet having all 15 Iconius Guardiana, antother having 30 Illuminators only (previously it
How about a "chance to damage" surrounding ships on an individual basis (not sure if it's possible)? Assuming an explosion does not uniformly spread damage evenly: Say 10 frigates and 5 cruisers surround an exploding Cap ship; give the frigates a 50% chance of some damage and the cruisers a 25% chance - to simulate their respective "toughness".
Yarrrrr! Don't be banning Pirates or I'll make ye walk the plank. Yarrrrrrrr! Unenforcable idiocy, unfortunately.
PC gaming is also being hurt by piracy/hacker assholes.
The option is to zoom in to a portion of the map with no ships moving about, then hit the turn button. The game only displays the ship movements that are in its current view.
Yep.
Feature: when you click on a Rally Point, it would list which colonies are sending ships to it. Clicking on the colony name would bring you to that colony in the galaxy window where you could do normal Rally Point stuff.
Interesting thread.
Is trade more lucrative in larger sized galaxies? Because in the medium ones I play often, Trade is essentially useless except perhaps very early to balance out early losses before income streams manifest (which I rarely do because the production required to make these ships could go to other improvements or research) or for relations purposes (which at the obscene level I play at, everyone hates me all the time anyway, and even if they do like me, they can still make war with me at the d
It's been this way since GC-II.
I third this.
I noticed this too. 2 freighters go to the same planet, yet the one that explored a bit first makes more money once the routes are established.
They do exist still, I beleive.
Well that would be a totally different game, isn't Sins full 3D like Homeworld? Full 3D battles in space are too difficult and confusing to deal with, it's not like Total War where you're 3D on a 2D surface. Humans don't think very well in 3D, especially when presented with 3D info on a 2D monitor, and also moving the camera around becomes an issue. Sins isn't turn based AFAIK either, bleh. That's effectively a totally different genre, and requires a very different set of developer skills
I liked the old one better too. I know others have said it before, but it would be wonderful to be able to control a ground battle for the invasion. GC3 maybe?
I rather see ToA combined with Sins of a Solar Empire-type battles for GC3.
Upgrade, already.
Ah, OK. Thanks for the in depth reply :) :)
Hi, All. Just got ToA. Can someone explain what Auto Design is for? Thanks. -Sky
OK so I'm trying it on IMPULSE and it seems much quicker...wish I'd tried that before :( EDIT: IN IMPULSE it shows I need no more updates, however in SDC, I says I can install HEIGHTMAPS, MULTIMEDIA, and MOVIES. Do I need these?
I've got a very fast connection. (t-3, downloads a song in 2 seconds) Went to download DLII, which I bought years ago. Went to bed and more than 14 hours later it's still downloading....really? Is there any way to speed this up? Thanks.
I have noticed the errant ship thing in 1.04 & 1.05. One ship just goes the opposite way, even if you "re-fleet", change formation, etc.
Is THC a new faction for the expansion?
Gosh, I hope so! ;)
I don't like Pirates... I LOVE them!!!
No kidding: reinstall your vid drivers. Give it a try.
