Please Help Me. in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I've gotten tired of waiting for Tech Support (they replied in 48 hrs but just copied and pasted what I sent them) and it doesn't look like anyone's replying to the ingame problem sticky so I thought I would make a post about it. My game will randomly lag really bad. The music will begin repeating the last couple of seconds of itself and the visuals will just freeze. When this happens I can switch screens ingame (to quicksave) but it takes 5-8 minutes
