Original post: 3/29/2006 9:08:39 PM Galactic Civilizations 2: Dread Lords is a great Game. If the following concepts are included in the next expansion then it would become a near perfect game... In my humble opinion. Even if these are included in Galactic Civilizations 3 that would be good. I suppose I can wait. I know that some of these concepts have been mentioned and debated. I'm trying to use "influence" on Stardock. Hence my subtitle: "Any Ideas? Let's inform Stardo

Here's a similar post I found: -Wade Bug to allow gods? Citizen Pianodog Loading races doesn't remove old stats. 12/16/2005 1:24:32 PM I'm not sure if this bug has been discussed, I'm relatively new here, but I wanted to let you know all the same. Last night I was tinkering with saving and loading race profiles and discovered (on my laptop at least) that I could create

This is occuring after the use of both Beta 2 and 3. When I start a new game the custom race picks from my previous "non-beta" game are listed as they should be. But since the numbers for race picks have been adjusted with these betas the word "Abilities" on the tab for race picks is RED and my "Points Remaining" are "-2". Yet I can still click "Next" and continue on to start a new game. Someone else must have seen this also. It should ha

don't really care for any weapons like the Terror Star. Waste of good resources blowing up systems left and right. If the proper terraforming technology was included in the game then the resulting debris could be used to form a new planet...or Ringworld. --Scitech

Well I am just saying, In Star Wars you had the Death Star which destroyed planets. In Galciv 1 you had the Terror Star. And in Master of Orion 2 it was called a Doom Star. I suppose another version could be a Dread Star. --Scitech

There is a huge difference between the League of Independant Planets and the Borg. The main one is that the I-League is just a set of planets originally formed from disheartened members of Evil Empires. They are "Good" in the sense that they live only to destroy evil, So just as long as you took the Moral Highground

In the original Galciv a Terror Star was a Starbase that was upgraded with engines and a Fusion Pulse Cannon that would disrupt a stars fusion and cause it to go Nova, Taking out all the planets in said starsystem. Now if it worked on a planet-by-planet system, Stardock would be sued by Lucasarts <b

Make it have to be equiped on an unarmed vessel and make it large and expensive. Make it so one alone isn't very effective, so you need a fleet of them. Then it'll be a real risk cause you've got to protect those flying piggybanks. -Dewar Actually we should be able to bombard using any weapon

See this post concerning larger maps Link Some people seemed to like the possibilities of a multilayered map with worholes or the like linking multiple galaxies. Even if those galaxies are just size regular or even small... think of the gameplay possibilities. Never underestimate the "You don't know what's there" factor. Reply: That's cool that you too have mentioned the idea. I was rather refering to other gal

I could...I will use this as an argument...in all politeness: "Why does the AI always invade my planets?" Perhaps we need to illiminate planetary invasions to satisfy some players?...It's still a great game...don't get me wrong. This is what forums are about. Also, a leader (an Emperor for example) historically has often times lead his army right at the battle field. In the rear of the lines of course. --Scitech

I'm not sure exactly what you want.I need more elaboration. The manual, page 37,describes the effects of each philosophy (Good,Neutral,Evil). Also, It states,"When you research Xeno Ethics, you'll be presented with the option to choose one of the philosophies at a price that varies according to the choices you've made so far." --Scitech
