Thanks for the tga images, Stant. Sadly they didn't fix my issues. Those portrait files which come with the game originally have been fixed, but they new ones that come with the mod are shown as black pictures now, and on top that there is still a bunch of displaced portraits. As for the planet icons, they are still displaced/cut in half (and often totally wrong planet type) as long as I have vision of the
If you have an ATI graphics card, then there's really not much we can do other then to tell you to make sure your card's drivers are all up to date, your directX is up to date, and have you use the TGA version of the portraits rather then the DDS version... But I misplaced the link so unless someone wants to do me a favor and find it, you'll have to wait until I have the time this weekend to dig back and look for it.
<sp

Hello Sins community ! I'm playing the game on my laptop, AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile (2x1,99 gHz). The game is running pretty smoothly, unless I'm playing large maps or medium maps with mass fleets. I've always been thinking that's because of my weak graphic card. Recently I've noticed the following: When playing Sins, the task manager tells me that my second core isn't used at all ! My first core is running "hot" with 100% usage, and the second one is idling around. A frien

There's one major problem with the Iconians: They're nearly impossible to play with the "No Tech Trading" option. I like those unique tech trees very much, so I'm playing most of my games without tech trading. Most times it's big fun, but the Iconians are the single exception. I've learned to master all of the other races on painfull, but with those Iconians, I'll even loose on tough. I'll explain why: 1. They can't change their political system to Interstellar Republic and all

Well, I bought the game with tokens from totalgaming.net, and I've received my serial instantly. Lucky me, because I'm downloading with full speed right now. ;) For my as european, those tokens are really great (thanks to the weak US dollar). Those 70 bucks for 10 tokens translate into 50 euros, which means I bought SoaSe for 25 euros, which is only half(!) of the price, a newly aquires game does cost normally.

I'm playing the game (TotA Beta) on my laptop only. It runs perfectly fine with 1680x1050, all details up, Immense (the biggest!) galaxy size. I have 2 gigs of ram, and a double core AMD Turion (2x 2GHz). The laptop uses a standard shared memory graphic card, nothing special there. Perhabs the problem is Windows Vista ? My laptop had Vista preinstalled, and after running it for the first time, I checked the memory: 1 gig of my 2 gigs were in use only to run Vista, without any applicatio

They need to create a unique tech tree for every race now. That's some kind of heavy work, so those race are added one in a time. You do realize that you're only playing a BETA version of the expansion ? Don't compare it to the full product DA yet.

I don't know if this is a known issue, but when loading a custom race, some strange things do happen. I created a new custom race called 'Gardians', spent my 10 ability points and my 200 tech points, everything seemed all right. But the next time I loaded this race, they had some extra abilitys and some extra techs ! My ability point reserve was at -18, while my tech point reserve was at -50. While these boosts are nice for the 'Gardians',
