'This is the thread that enver ends, my friend, this is the...' This is the thread that never ends. It goes on and on, my friend. Some people posted, not knowing what it was, For this is the thread that never ends. '(BTW, I think it would be really cool if this button let you turn on or off the display of the trade routes others have with you - sometime I can't see enough detail to known which planet I don't have a route to yet because of all the other lines.)'

If that doesn't work, you can unsubscribe from the forum in the same context menu as above, then resubscribe in the Tools-Settings-Discussion dialog. Try the first method, first, though, as this tends to be a temporary solution. ~SDC~
'On the other hand, I'd also like "auto-explore" commands (for scouts),' I seem to recall there being an autoexplore already.... '"search for anomalies" (for survey ships),' This is what autosurvey does. Automatically explores known anomolies within range. ~SDC~
'ok and sorry again about the grammer and spelling i just started learning english about 7 months ago' Well, you're doing better than some people that (theoretically) speak English as a native language (and a good bit better than most English speakers on the net... 1337 and h4xx0r speak annoy me to no end). You'd probably be fine in spoken conversation, but as I'm finding out in the other direction (I'm in the process of learning Japanese), that doesn't necessarily carry over
'Simplest way is simply go into the files and increase its speed. Or that would be my guess.' There isn't actually a Terror Star entry in the files. It inherits most of the entries for a StarBase, but has a hardcoded speed of 1. ~SDC~
'Yes and I happen to be color-blind so it makes it difficult to tell on some of the displays what is going on.' Yeah, I suppose that could make it a bit more difficult to tell apart. ~SDC~
'Quarks come in different `flavors'. There's `up' quarks, and `down' quarks, and `strange' quarks. The nuclei of atoms are made of just the right mix of just the right quarks. Matter ultimately is made of `up' and `down' quarks.' Six actually: Up, Down, Top, Bottom, Strange, and Charm. Common matter is composed of Up and Down quarks. The others have only been observed in cyclotrons and similar particle accelerators. And I'll have to concurr about it being both too lo
'Phonetically.' And your grammar and spelling are giving me a headache trying to decypher. Some of what I think you're trying to request isn't possible right now. ~SDC~
'5) Expanded influence starbase modules. For each upgrade, your influence extends another one sector in each direction' Increasing the raw influence already does this. At a certain point, influence will bleed off into other sectors, regardless of it's original source. It's concievable that you could have all of your influence souces in a single sector and still affect the entire galaxy with it. ~SDC~
I should put the God creates the world via computer thing I have here up somewhere. ~SDC~
*ponders re: sending a mod in bzip2 format, just to see how many people play around with it before complaining* ;p I'd go with a gzipped tarball, but WinZip actually recognizes both tar and gzip. :D ~SDC~
The main problem is the inability to limit ships and technologies to just one race. Doesn't look right to have the Aliance to Restore the Republic running around with Super-class Star Destroyers. ~SDC~
The only way to do that is to mod all the tech entried (and some of them can't be increased much... I've run into CTDs generating the galaxy caused by setting them too high and confusing the parser. The limit is somewhere just above 50000 [65535, if I had to guess]). ~SDC~
The beta versions had a minor race called the Bradians that were used to test an improved AI. The image was never removed, and the Bradian diplomacy text still exists in the appropriate English.str tables. ~SDC~
'"I have no idea how everyone else is getting any score higher than zero." Even if you lose you should get above 0.' Abandon the colony Earth on the first turn. ;p ~SDC~
It's more along these lines, from what I can tell: PopulationIncreaseRate = C1*(CurrentPopulation/PopulationMaximum)*(Morale/100-.5)*CurrentPopulation which also explains why extremely populous planets can still have unwieldy population growth at 51% morale. ~SDC~
'Actually the UP meets even though you only met for example one race, I have had several UP meetings with just me and one other race' I've actually had UP notices come up without discovering any of the major races. The meeting doesn't actually happen, but it's still an amusing sight. ~SDC~
The League of Non-Aligned Worlds will appear in alomst every game (along with the Pirates), but when is entirely subject to change. Both occur semi-randomly after certain conditions exist. ~SDC~
'BTW, I never build scouts. Don't need anything beyond my survey ship and when I play, I usually out colonize the AI.' On a similar note, I usually do my exploration with colony ships. 'Scout Fortune's get sold to the Altarians or the Torians for cash or tech. Bigger Precursor/Fortune ships (and a lot of cash) get traded for Starbases, if any AIs have them. I rarely have scouts, drones, or mid-size military ships. Go right from Defenders to Overlords or Phoenices.
The current theory is that it affects what alignment you need to research the appropriate techs. I see no techs on the list, as it is now, that require any degree of Creativity. ~SDC~
'Actually, I get a bit bugged by the fact that -all- the races have USS ships.' All ships from anomolies get that prefix. Apparently the Precursors were big on the whole United Space concept too. :D ~SDC~
'Now, if I had a clue to stop the "evil from taking over your planet" Draginol bullcrap I'd be one happy wombat.' Evacuate and destroy the colony. ~SDC~
You can get a +5%, +10%, or +15% Planet Quality as one of your starting abilities, and the Terraformer wonder grants a +15% to your Planet Quality ability. The tech increases are all +10%, and the improvements are +10% or +20%. There's no reason someone couldn't create an improvement that granted +1%, or some other bizzare number, though. They just don't exist yet. ~SDC~
It's kinda hard to come up with 37 unique colors (Terrans, five major races, and up to 31 minor/associate races). 'I have trouble distinguishing Drengin from Yor on the minimap.' This one in particular I find a bit odd, though. The Drengin are (or should be, rather) a blood red-ish color, and the Yor are a medium violet... ~SDC~
' Any mods that are not recognized by Stardock will eventually cause the game to to score on the Metaverse' Or rather, that's the stated plan, I should say. ~SDC~
