I had a problem with DA asking for the gold edition serial and not accepting the one for the expansion. The new serial worked fine. As I was not alone with this bug I assume they have updated the whole serial number system across the board and generated a whole new batch of serials. I don't know whether its essential you update your serial, but that should have been covered in the email i guess. Marcus

I have contacted support, I was more curious if anyone else was suffering the same problem. I cant say I'm bothered by this though, there's bound to be some strange and unforeseen bugs in such a wide ranging expansion. Even with all the beta testing, you wont find them all until mass release. Thanks for the replies guys, I'll await the email. Marcus

Dark Avatar wont accept my serian Number. in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I downloaded DA last night and installed it with Stardock central. When I press update serial it asks me for my gal civ gold edition serial code. Then when I enter the serial I was sent with my order confirmation it tells me it needs to be a 35 digit code in the format xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx. But the serial I was sent is a single string 28 characters long, with no dashes. Anyone else had this problem.

Would be good if you could set a default ship to build and then set it to build say 5 fighters when fighters are finnished then revert to default building, Say colony ships. I always monitor the colony list and change my build orders from there. MD

Like MOIISKA I am a little cautious about the possible bugs so What happens if I upgrade to 1.2 beta and then want to get the official patch later. Can I uninstal the beta? or will the official recognise the beta and upgrade? or do I need to back up the game folder and docs & setts folder in order to roll back to prior 1.2 beta? ATI Catalyst 6.5 setup dont know about earlier versions but you should get the latest if possible. Kosti, dystopic and all I Have found the answer Full screen or windowed dual monitor with anti Anti-Aliasing and smooth cut scene playback. You need to set the display options in the relevant graphics control panal not in Properties/settings. The only drawback it that the desktop stretches across the whole 2 screens and all windows maxamizes that size. So it has to be set back after. You can set GalCiv2 to any res you like in game and the settings stey put.<
