I normally just "lurk" here on the forums but I feel I must give my input on this topic. Out of all the games I've played so far I like Master of Orion's tec system the best. It may not have been perfect but it was fun. Some of the technology you missed while teching gave me a reason to use spies and also a reason to negotiate trade with other races. That is all. I am running Sins/Entrenchment 1.03 on Windows 7 x64 RC1 without issue. edit: I should note that I did not have to make any changes from the Impulse install or change any compatability settings in order for it to work, it just worked like it did in Vista 32.
If I buy extra copies of Demigod, Galciv2, and Sins do I get more lotto tickets? [e digicons][/e] Might be cheaper if I just pre-ordered more copies of Elemental.
I think there are a lot more sinners than people realize. In my group of friends alone we have close to 10 people that get together nearly every weekend and play Sins, and none of us play on ICO. Out of my group though I'm likely the only one voting... edit: Mmmmm I guess technically not true on the ICO thing. We use it to host our games but we only play amongst ourselves.
As of my +1 for IC it's 999 IC and 764 SOE Woooooo go IronClad!!! :D
I just googled "ogg to mp3" and there were quite a few tools. I don't remember which I used because it was a trial and I uninstalled it afterward.
Whoever made this song is a personal hero of mine. Whenever I hear this song during a heated Sins battle I feel a surge of adrenaline and a sense of victory is just around the corner. I will sometimes listen to this song in iTunes (converted it to mp3) when I'm thinking about Sins (while not playing) and am instantly ready to jump right in. :) Any other closet "battle 12" fans?
Yep another fan of those two companies signing in [e digicons]:sun:[/e] Loving Entrenchment! You guys do whatever it takes to weather this crappy economy. Got a Sins weekend about to start within my group of friends, thanks again! :D
After having researched rank 2 hanger flaks a placed but unbuilt hanger will fire flaks at enemies. TEC
I abstain I think the devs should just make the sound files and data more accessible so users can mod it out on their own.
I'd be willing to pull out a microphone and have a stab at it if they did :) Need variety, so we need a lot of our voices.
Ironclad backed by Stardock is my hero. :) It's the pairing of those two that makes it.
I completely agree about the sounds. And while reading your post I thought you were going to go in another direction with it. I'll explain what I was picturing before I finished your post. When I zoom in enough to see the contents of a planet I'd like sounds that give me an idea of what's going on, not just fleet to fleet combat. I'd like to hear the sounds of freighters talking amongst each other (ala Freelancer), I'd like to hear the voices of my exploration vessel
They will be at 12 employees soon. I'm just waiting for the call to say "you're hired". I can game test, software debugging, support, bit of audio in the way of music/effects, bring coffee, work weekends/holidays, don't require a lot of pay, and will move to Vancouver. /end pipe dream Anyway, Ironclad and Stardock are beacons of hope to me in this sespool companies like EA haved turned gaming into. Keep up
These teaser videos are causing me trouble. I love how the TEC starbase looks like it means business. It's not some pretty commercial building, that thing is a fortress! :D Also, Ironclad, I really like how you are going to release the expansions in fast successive stages rather than waiting a long time for any new content. That said, I WOULD like to see a bit more 4X in this RT4X in some future expansion (not sure if Expansion #2 will cover that).
I completely agree. I am not one of those types that typically install desktop beautification programs, but I have purchased several from Stardock JUST as a way to say thanks for not treating me like a criminal for buying their games. (Stupid EA and Spore) In addition to being a fan of Galciv and Sins, I am also a fan of Egosoft's X series. I'm holding my breath waiting for that game to be released but I really wish they would have chosen Stardock as their publishe
LOVE the explosions and the extra fighter/bomber wing in my TEC carriers. I haven't had much time to play it yet because I just got home from work. :) Liking what I see so far.
Well I'm awake. The wait begins.
Man only on impulse i have to go and download an other freaking program.
That was my exact response when I first learned it was required. But over the last few days/weeks I've come to really like it. I run it as a popup bar now and shortcut to programs with it that aren't even sold by Stardock. Can't promise you'll like it, but it's on my drive still while Steam isn't (anymore).
I KNEW selling my soul was a good idea :D Gonna be a fun weekend.
Alright, I'm ready for an alpha copy of the patch, send me a PM where to d/l it and no one gets hurt. :)
It was all an evil joke. Look at those suckers..ahh ha ha ha
Nooooooooooo! I sold my SOUL for this patch :(
Speak for yourself. I value my life slightly more than that, I'd trade in my soul for a lifetime 'subscription' to all PC games that will ever be made. Ultra deal!I have to do that with my own money at the moment and unfortunatly hot intelligent females are mutually exclusive with a life of such True Gameing.
Lol true, just glad I have a wife who loves gaming with me. :)
Ironclad probally said their making a huge awsome patch, but maybee it was a pratical joke... Their probally having a big laugh right now saying "Ha ha ha look at all those people that have no lives!!"
Lives? Lives are nothing, many of us Sinners would gladly trade in our souls for a good patch or expansion for Sins.
