How would it distract people from the real substance (if any)? “Perfection” is actually the biggest distraction. Imaging a street drug dealer speaks in perfect King ’s English only… If everyone in the movie is perfect looking, perfect speaking, perfect everything… How could a point get across when no one can relate to it at all? I think y

I definitely started a new game after updating to 1.1. I don't know what causes it unfortunately. I don't remember doing anything particularly strange in the shipyard . . . just suddenly components I added to a particular design were talking less space than they were supposed to. If it helps . . . I remember getting the ship full enough that an additional component wouldn't "officially" fit but there was enough space to fit it if it was resized to the size of the other (identical) c
I had it occur last night in 1.1 but I don't yet know how to reproduce it. Just wanted to verify that it seems to persist in the lastest patch . . . Makes for some fun ships though
Am I the only one who finds the hostility in this entire topic . . . disturbing? To OP and others that agree with him: I suppose this includes me . . . How arrogant of you, to think everyone in the e
I already love the custom metallic fleet I've been slowly assembling, but if they actually added new styles like crystal and organic hulls I'd seriously have to reassess my fleet's image. If done well both of those choices would appear very alien and extremely cool. In general as long as the ship pack halfway decent I'll buy it. Actually, I'd probably buy as many ship packs as they released. The ship builder is part of what makes this gam
I'm having the same problem. For the record I definitely started this game after installing 4A? Sort of annoying since the AI raided a few of my small planets and when I took them back they all had permanent starbases on them. Oh well, it will make conquering those buggers that much more satisfying . . .
That Torian was sly, trading you a tech he knew you couldn't use. I guess he figured you were just the opposite of sly. Hook, line, sinker... Aw come on, I'm plenty sly . I w
I don't get all the hostility to improving the game in this thread. I too noticed the occasional misspelling and poorly worded sentence, and while it's hardly a game breaker there isn't really any reason *not* to fix it . . . I say this with as little egotism as possible, but some of us really do enjoy reading well-written text. Of course editing the text is a low priority task at the moment but what's the harm in pointing it out? Also,
Forgive me if this has been addressed in 1.4A . . . I didn't see anything in the notes about it though. In my last game I wound up being neutral, and my neighbors the Torians were good. At some point they called me up and offered to trade me Arnorean Battle Armor for some crappy tech . . . Well, at least that's what it said in the text box when they contacted me, but on the diplomacy screen I noticed that the trade was actually my tech for
You can rejoin the UP? I thought once you left you were out for good. Anyway, I don't dislike the potential for limiting starbases in general though. It does add a different spin on the game, and I suppose I can deal with that. Still, I wonder if the AI understands the ramifications of passing it. Using it to keep me from going for an influence victory by spamming influence bases across the galaxy makes good strategic sense. It also makes sense to enact it if I'm workin
Does anybody else dread seeing this law come up at the UP? While I find many of the proposals there to be far too trivial (anomaly rights anyone?) I think this one is just over the top. There seem to be two versions of this particular law. The lesser version comes with a three year expiration date, so as much as I hate it I at least have the option of riding it out. The other version is the really nasty one since it stays in effect perm
