I am convinced this is a bug now in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

Well I satrted a new game and used another mod pack for ships and the same thing happened before. I was able to outfit a speed 4 ship right out the gate. Well I didn't want to cheat, so I made some ships myself speed 3's and 4's. Well later in the game I did a lot of trading and got i,pulse drive mk II. I decided to go ahead and make a new constructor so I clicked "update" in the shipyard. I got the same 55 available points, so I went to

Yes, this is definately a bug. I am able to start a new game with those moded hulls with speed 5 colony ship. I should not be allowed to do that. When I make a ship with a "core" hull I can only make a speed 3. Ship building definately needs some attention. DEV TEAM: please accept this as a constructive comment. This game and your work is superb.

OK from now on I will use the default hulls and wait to do do the hull research. The mods are for tiny, small and cargo. Do you have to do research to get these?

In the new game (with exactly the same settings) the ship was not there, so I made another one with the exact same name. I checked my ships folder and they were BOTH there. Best way to start? in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I was looking at a map and I saw a lot of planets in or near my area. As I colonized it showed more yet more planets. Colonized...more planets....colonized...more planets. Then there was a class 27 planet? omg. So, should I rapidly keep expanding or at some point stop and secure what I have? How do you guys handle this?

Confused about focus items in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I can see how the military (building ships) and social (building structures) focus buttons work in your planet view screen, but I'm not sure I get the research one. Do you have to have a lab structure on the planet for it to work? Sometimes there might be lulls in building, so I wondered if clicking that would actually make a difference in your research if you didn't have a research building there. I guess if you DO have

I bought the game today and want to know about the ships. Is there a way I can have the custom ships that see here? It seems like I have read that you have to have the collector's edition? I downloaded that Desktopx program but cant make heads or tails out of it. So, how do I use custom ships? thx

Sound Issues in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I am having sound issues, especially in the tutorial. When the instructor girl talks, it is VERY choppy. She says a couple of words then it chops up...wait a second....couple more words..chops up..wait a couple seconds..etc. I have a SB Prodigy 4 and the driver is updated. Is there some way to fix this? Thanks

Newbie Question in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I am totally new to this format and I am trying it out playing the demo first. I am having trouble expanding. I have explored the area that I can and the only planet that I can inhabit is Mars (lev 4). All of the other ones on the map outside of other races areas are all class 0. How do I expand if they are all class 0? Am I supposed to change this somehow? Thanks, and sorry for such a newbie question
