Ok, thanks, i'll check it out now. :)
Neilo
But will MS listen?
Can anyone give an overview of the current state of the game? Has it been patched at all? any info will be appreciated thanks! [e digicons][/e]
Amount of spending, focus on social or Military and factories, plus an inherent race bonus, or colonization bonuses you may have. :)
Well, it depends how cramped you are for space. If you have AI right near you, grab what you can, since they will take anything and everything. If you have some breathing room, try and find some larger PQ planets. But be ready to grab the ones near you anyway, since you don't want the AI to gain an Influence hold on you.
Supposedly it will incorporate a new type of battery with around 10x the capacity of the current one.
I understand the need for this, but not a selling point for me. Both me and the missus only use it at home, so a power point is never far away. We only bought it...well, i couldn't really tell you why, she wanted it for Christmas a few years back, so i bought! (gen 1 ipad) The res on the screen sure is something to see
Just on diplomacy and trading. (you didn't ask but it's worth noting. ;) ) Your economy can be fueled right here. Focus on all labs on your HW (and research bonus tiles) and get as much tech as you can. Get the diplo techs ASAP, and build the Diplomatic Translators. With all the diplo techs, and the translators, you will have no problem maximizing your financial gain from tech trading. Just don't trade the AI your diplo techs, and expect to get a
2 bucks a month? Not bad, charged to your itunes account presumably? Yeah, i'll go for that for a bit. It's nice to have a few time wasters on the ipad for lazy times. Thanks Sin. Digressing, anyone sufficiently impressed by the new iPad to think about upgrading? I still have the original, and i still see nothing that can justify upgrading, when my device is fine. If i didn't have one, sure i'd by a new one, that screen is impressive, but not enough for me to ditch
^ Damn you!!! I see a new reply and always expect to see a link saying.."Download it here"! [e digicons]XO[/e] ........... [e digicons];P[/e]
Sounds like trying to close the robe after we all got a small peak to me. Why i don't know, i don't think we have heard the last of this though. I'm still tore if i liked the idea or not, so half of me wants to rejoice.....
Yup, ill preorder it and playing day of release, PC of course. (none to happy to hear it's yet another title to use Steamworks, but i'll take that over BL's securerom.)
So what's everybodys favorite character?
Yeah, probably Mordecai. I like snipers. I'm playing through right now with Brick (just got to the crimson tollway) and yeah, he is not too fun. (i hadn't played with him at all since i
It's all good, a mod will fix it up at some point. The Stardock forums take some getting used to, there are something like 10 or so forum sites that share subforums and such. All the sites have many interconnected forums....takes some time to woek out. :)
although you still have to pay miantenance on those idle factories.
This is very important early game. you might be tempted to build a heap of factories to try and prodcue some ships, but it can wreck your econ if your not careful. Depending on your level difficulty, do not try and out produce the AI. Just maybe 1 or 2 guys in the history of this game could do that. (vanilla game)
Thanks for the replies guys. I have Tiles and Object dock 2 running, but i'm pretty anal about my taskbars. I like my docks to work with my taskbars instead of, instead of them. RND! Thankyou! I'll go and grab DisplayFusion and try it out. I'm assuming it will be fine since the skin i am using right now is your Hardwood. (excellent work btw!!) I don't require anything on my second task bar other than open programs on that monitor to have it's buttons
NOt all titles sold on Steam require Steamworks after activation: three of the top of my head that don't: Mount and Blade series, Dungeons of Dredmor, Crusader Kings II. THink Sword of the Stars II as well, but that doesn't count as a running game yet, right? (is it ok to make that joke on here yet?) The impression I'm getting is that if you play SP-only, this won't require Steamworks to run either.
<
[e digicons]:omg:[/e] Wow...and nice looking ship too!

Don't build factories till you have an economy that can sustain them. You should never have empty planets, set planetary focus to social to slowly build out your planet, even if money is hard to come by. Build a farm and the rest econ structures if you have no other use for the planet, with perhaps a morale structure too. A general guide, and this based on my own playstyle, which is usually all labs is as follows. Dont do leases on planet improvement on a
No need to double post threads Godfather, they all appear in recent posts no matter the sub forum. :) Jafo....Kryo (or whoever the GC2 mod is these days), double thread. Already posted an answered elsewhere.
This is being posted all over Facebook too. I didn't click their links either. There is no easy fix here, and throwing bags of money at it won't work. Go figure! [e digicons]:S[/e]
Thanks mate! Who'd have thought, for even just a fraction of a second, that Vista would be better to have than Win7! LOL It strikes me that this is a perfect are for SD to get into. Perhaps they could make their own multi monitor app, that obviously, would be perfectly skinable. In fact, the more i think about it, i'm surprised they haven't done so already.

Nice read! Had myself something of a similar experience. Think me on my cousins R1 on the freeway (which in Australia mean 110kph limit) vs a guy in his Porsche GT something or other... By the time i had slowed enough to feel comfortable peeling myself of the tank, i was still doing about 200kph and the Porsche was no where to be seen. Later that day i dropped my own GS500 at about 40kph with just jeans on....i happliy put up with the few scrapes and broke gear lever that earl
Sooo, maybe me getting off track today and not installing Win8 might have been a welcome turn of events. the errors you guys are having, Uvah and Starkers, for what all three of us wanted to do, just have a sneak peak at 8, doesn't seem to be worth the bother. Uvah, especially you, it wiped your drive! [e digicons]:omg:[/e] Glad to hear you had it backed up! Up to you if you try again, you may as well though, if you haven't reinstalled your win7. If
I have read the many a thread describing various incompatibilities between WB and two of the more popular multi monitor tools, Display Fusion and Ultramon. There does not seem to be a consensus on what works and what doesn't, in fact from what i can tell, it's down right subjective. I own Ultramon pro and have it installed on Win7 and have just got back my WB, and of course i'm getting skinning issues with the taskbar on the secondary monitor. I have read of some that
