Like i said, so many different things to do early game. These days, i set the survey ship to automate and let it go. When i was first playing (or doing a ZYW), i kept it manual so as to maximize my early finds. :)

If you started another game though since the crash, the debugg.err will have changed. A new one is created everytime you play the game, so be sure to poet it only after a crash. A common issue though is an OOM (out of memory) error. Were you playing for some time without exiting at all? GC2 is 32bit, so with large maps and big long games, OOM errors do get common.

Looking to renew my ODU after some time and on the SD store page it has no option to renew. Is this still viable (and cheaper than buying outright again)? Is there a renew time limit, my ODU ran out in late '09? I have a renew button attached to ODU in Impulse, but i'm very wary about using that, since i don't beleive that will do anything since the sale. Am i being blind and not seeing a renew button anywhere? thanks.

Did you change your text color to black? Your post is not readily visible. There a far too many ways to start out to list. For every map there is a different course of action. It all depends on what settings you used, what race or what race abilities you have, the AI, your goals in the game.... There is no right answer. A few things though, Control your survey ship manually, that way your not getting sucked in wormholes and sent across the map into

I don't think I could ever live with Metro being the default UI, but I sure would like to see the under the hood improvements for myself. Hmmm, will I or won't I????? I do have a spare partition, and I have plenty of quota left, not to mention the speed for a fast download, so it's not like I can't... and the SD app would make it more user friendly, wouldn't it?
Thanks EvilMaxWar!
But now it appears to not like the fact that i use a Linux box as a router, for some reason... Which means it does not work and i cannot play my game.
Wow...it's getting harder and harder to do what used to be install and double click isn't it? I had a steam, many years ago, not sure if i have those login details anymore (it was for a gifted Half life game that i never played), guess it&#3

(I'm assuming yes, just looking to clarify) So, this is the new direction one can assume for all SD titles? I'm not caring one way or another, just if so, i will bite the bullet now and get familiar with Steam. Better to be up and running when SD titles come out r

Uvah, one site i have bookmarked that is pretty interesting and has a WW2 fighter aircraft section is, http://www.militaryfactory.com/ . It is not a full complete DB, but has some pretty useful sections. Okay, it's much more of a DB then i had thought, its quite an impessive site. Bet you use this Jafo!

I like my bookmarks well organized, but one set of bookmarks that do not organize well are some of the SD sites, more specifically, their forums sites, since they lack favicons for them. I use eight SD sites regularly, but of those eight only four of them have favicons for their forum pages, which leaves me with four default icons for SD forums sites, and no clear way to tell which is which. (other than i have memorized the order) GalCiv2, SINS, PoliticalMachine and joeuser al
