I've found that even when low moral results in conquering a planet with more troops than you invaded with, I've still lost a transport eahc and every time. I've found that as an empire starts to fall, morale crumbles especially if planets fall into your radius on influence. Another way to beat down enemy morale is to destroy Morale resource bases if the enemy empire has any. Try this a few more times, in may have been a glitch or even that you miscounted your number of transports.

Agreed I just started reading the posts and am only now getting ot relax a bit and review them. I will post more on this in the Core but I have to be honest that I think Alex deserves an at large post. His activity with the the HCH was a strong factor in the recent renewed life in the Metaverse.

Mumble I just read your posts on the race creation tips and OI think I'm going to give it try. I've found that the Torians have been a good race for me in the so I'll try it with you suggested mods and let you know how it goes.

Strategy Time Folks - 1) Look for enemy hyperion shrinkers, you get additional miniturization bounes for each one you own. 2) When playing and evil beastie empire, trade the minor races xeno ethics before you invade, most will become nuetral = free terraforming. 3) Bribe other empires into war and then swoop in with transports to steal undefended planets from whoever is losing the conflict.

I like the Terrans, the Drath and the Yor. I play the Yor when I'm feeling like more of a fight and the Terrans when I want to finesse a game. The Drath are my compromise "go to" race. I keep the Ethics nuetral for the Terrans or Drath but good evil with the Yor.

Faster freight is safer freight but if there's a trade federation or you have galactic privateer, speed is irrelevant. With either of these, freight become targets the AI focuses on repeated in spite of its inability to destroy them.

The AI is definitely interested and supportive of this initiative. I believe it was actually Hidar of our happy little band that first questioned if there was anybody out there so I would hope that we could be considered among the charter members. This dialogue appears to be happening simultaneously here in the forums and in the Core.

Bummer about the Cylons catching you guys and all. I know of one other survivor from the fleet. He's with us over at the Arrakis Imperium. We'll leave the lights to the flight deck on in case you want to come on board. Mumble's right about the Dipos, the Orcas, the Hegemony and us (AI) being the only active empires in the top 10 right now. The thread that Mumble is referring was actually started by one of our more zealous AI senators.

Has anyone heard from Selim Wromrider recently? Not like him not to posted for 2 weeks. Stilgar, good to have you on the team. I was beginning to worry about the Sadaukar. Please senators feel free to invite others to our cause. I am very please with how things are coming together. I believe that the Metaverse is going to get some life breathed into it with the release of DA. Let's see if we can roll out the welcome mat for some new overlords.

Thanks FC. I've got the Altarians hostile towards me for god knows what but I think I've got the right combination of tech to give them hell. The Korx just surrendered to me and this pushed my population and research up to competitive levels with the other empires. We'll see how this goes.
