[quote who="Commander4X" reply="15" id="3828550"] - Are minor civilizations invadable? I have done their quest already. I cannot attack them and in the dialogue I can only change the reward. If they are not: I suggest to add an information to their tooltip. I already got two very powerful military stations next to their doorstep ... Space monsters are building ships that look like space monsters, but the names aren't space monster names. Precursor sentinels are building ships that look like precursor sentinels, but the names aren't precursor sentinel names.<img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/24/51/2451921/783cb181-cf0d-4e14-bf83-fa0ffefe7d3f.png" alt="" width="981" height="526" /

I have found another possibility for the planets to flip. I'm alone in my sector. When I was able to go into the next sector, I met the Corporate Sector. Later, I don't know how long it took, 3 of their planets flipped to me in just a few turns. Two were core worlds that became colonies, and one was a core world that stayed a core world. I didn't see any notification and wondered what was going on as I had already seen this post. The governor of the plane

I had the same problem. I tried many things that didn't fix the problem. After searching on the Internet, I found this location. The first item, Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes All-in-One , will take you to a page where you can download a zip file with the solution. Follow the instructions on that page. It worked for me.

Lots of good stuff here, followed by more good stuff, then by even more. I hope I can wait until it's released. I also hope it's before Christmas. [e digicons];P[/e] Has anyone on the dev team seen the post on Discord by Dogmar about a long-standing bug? My two following comments confirm that he is right. I'm not sure how to make a link to it. It's in #bugs-typos-goofs for GC4 on November 23.

I'm glad you found them. When you're making a mod, you don't need any folder that doesn't have anything in it. I find it easier without all the empty folders cluttering up the folder for the mod.

I wonder if you are looking at Documents/My Games/GalCiv4. That is your personal directory and has nothing to do with the game files. The game files are located where Epic installed them. I'm not sure where that is for a standard install because mine are installed in a non-standard location. Perhaps they are in C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games. If not, you may have to do a search of your computer for GalCiv4.exe.

The alpha has always been moddable. It works the same way it did in GalCiv3. The full game is supposed to have something similar to the workshop in Steam so that mods can be used no matter where the game was purchased. Editing the xml files where they exist doesn't work. A folder for a mod must be created in the Mods folder, the xml files need to be copied into correct sub-folders in the folder for the mod, then those xml files can be edited. Mods must be enabl

I understand the confusion now. Only the starting sector is visible at the start of the game, which can be Tiny, Small, Medium, or Large in size. Once you do the research that allows you to see and travel the subspace streams, the rest of the sectors in the galaxy will be available to you. There can be a lot of sectors in a very large galaxy, depending on your choices at the start of the game. All the sectors fit in a "galaxy" that is made like the galaxies in GalCiv
