It is actually not about the resolution of the map. From my expereince 99% of the time you will not see the difference between 1024x1024 and 512x512 in GalCiv2 - the only place it can be noticed is the Ship Editor when fully zoomed in.... However... I was always anti-faith, but after reading Richard Dawkins God Delusion I was even more convinced. He gives good reasons why god can not exist, and provides scientific reasoning too. Oh, now I get you LOL. I'll be honest I wipe the DL's out before they invade my worlds, so i've not seen that effect in long time. To be honest, I have no idea where that graphic is stored in the files, but I assume there has got to be something in there somewhere. I like the idea of some random space based creature appearing and attacking planets, perhaps it could be set to strike a set number of worlds, then vanish for a random number of turns, then reappear on the opposite side of the map. Any worlds that are struck are cleaned of life and turned into a barren or radioactive world.
